Frequent free shuttle to Universal parks; great location; secure (paid) parking; decent dining on site and nearby; and well-equipped rooms.
But occupancy was high and those on upper floors had long waits for lifts and we saw no signage for stairs.
This Resort was so affordable!! I had a perfect view of the pool area and they provided us with free transportation along with an hour of early entry for the Universal park!
Hotel restaurant was great,Starbucks within the hotel was a bonus and the complimentary shuttle to Universal Studios was great! I would upgrade to a larger tv or wall mount so if one doesn’t want to watch it can turn and upgrade the beds and pillows.
Hotel was nice, it is not quiet though. Had difficulty sleeping bc of noise from the floor above us. Food selection was good and the convenience to get to the parks is unbeatable.
We were here for my daughter’s cheer competition. While the days were long in Universal, having shuttle access to the park, cafe on the first floor, bar at the pool, and lots of dining options nearby made me feel at ease. I would definitely stay here for a family vacation.
few problems: maid didn't missed our room one day.
bathroom has no fan/vent
no towel racks in bathroom
long hallway to walk from the entrance to room (1791)
long walk to get to neighboring restaurants, they could have some door gates which cuts down the walking distance all the way around the perimeter

We arrived and had no hot water to shower so we took cold showers the first night. The following night was still the same, no hot water and this time our phone didn’t work and the AC was not working and could not get our toilet to flush. Then at about 12:34 in the morning our room phone rang twice and woke us up but no one was there when we answered. Then my cell phone rang and it was the phone number for the hotel, I answered it and again nothing on the other end. The front desk staff had no explanation for this and didn’t believe me until I showed them my call records with the time stamp. They then transferred us to a new room but the new room had its issues also. We had warm water but not hot water and that was after the water had ran for about 5 mins. We had what we thought were noisy neighbors keeping us up banging on the walls and ceiling but come to find out it was the plumbing and every time someone used the water in the rooms around us it sounded like someone jumping on the ceiling repeatedly and at some points like someone was knocking on the door. I’ve never had an experience like this even when I’ve stayed in cheaper hotels and it really put a damper on our vacation because we really struggled for sleep and comfort our entire stay and I will never stay at dock side again. I spoke several times with the desk staff and they gave us free parking and 2 drink tickets and said sorry. super disappointed with the entire stay, especially with it being a universal resort.

Hotel was very clean and staff were very helpful and polite. Rooms were big. We received a 3 queen bed upgrade suite for free. I would stay here again. No cons to mention.

Everything was great. Room was clean, staff was friendly, shuttle to Universal was easy, convenient and fast, food options were great for the family and food was tasty. Prices were fair (you’re obviously paying vacation/tourism prices).

Property is perfect for a trip with the whole family. Nice shallow pools for the kids with sand, huge cafeteria with fresh fruits and veggies after a hot day at the parks, easy transportation to parks, and convenient texting system with the front desk to address any of your needs.
Even thought this is considered Universal's budget hotel, it was fantastic! The room was clean and spacious and the staff was kind and courteous. Will definitely stay here again!
Staff was friendly and informative. Everyone treated my son like a king for his birthday.
Loved the view from hotel room. The pool area for the kids was really nice and thwy had life guard on duty so felt very safe.
Lots to do in the area. Transportation to parks was a breeze.
Lovely stay with my family - only point that I would raise is the way the rooms have been set up with interconnected doors and wooden floors, it can be very noisy if you have inconsiderate guests above or next door to you. This said, staff dis their best to resolve issues. Hotel is modern and has everything you need for a great holiday. Transfers to Universal is also really handy.
