The host Oliver & the management companies manager (which refused to give their name) made our stay a horrible experience from day one. After paying $175 to heat the hot tub as this is an extra fee, the hot tub was freezing cold and was not working the day we arrived. The management company did not get this working until the afternoon the next day. After expressing our frustration with this, the manager insulted me stating they would refund us $11.67 and stated in writing to me “it is very little loss” to us. The manager refused to call me to speak about this matter and was combative and very unprofessional. They turned the heat off to the hot tub our last day as well. The manager stated the heat will only run so many hours a day and is turned off at 8pm. Last thing on host, in writing the manager stated if we were unhappy, they would refund our money and we needed to be out by 10am the next day. I replied asking how much our refund would be and I never received a reply back. We did stay the 5 days we rented as we could not just pack up and rent another place last minute and I didn’t trust the host on the refund.
Our complaints about the rental in general. The location of the house is a 5 minute drive to the community pool. Not a walking distance at all. To get a drink at the community pool, plan to wait in line 20+minutes. There is construction of new homes being built literally across the street from this rental. Construction workers start hammering at 7am. I have two screws in my tires from this as well. They have no trash bin so you have to put all trash on the front grass by the road.
The actual house is nice and new. It’s a shame the host was rude and unprofessional. Our group will never rent from this host/management company again. I’m writing this to let all know and caution you.
