Relaxing 24 hours

All in all a relaxing 24 hours in this hotel. Friendly and very service minded employees in the restaurant. Breakfast was good and so was dinner, but I get disappointed when I get vegatables that are pickeled or canned.

A true gem!

A gem of a find for us. The suites are beautifully appointed, the entire property is so neat and well managed, and the service levels excellent. We found it very quiet, and so good we added an extra night to our stay.

The rooms are beautifully decorated and the outdoor space is very beautiful as well with all the plants and nice buildings. It has a look of a five-star hotel, but the service is not up to 5* so 4* is the most accurate description. The only disappointment was the service at the restaurant outdoor patio where I ate twice. The first time it was understaffed and it was hard to get any attention. The second time the waiter forgot to bring me the water and when I asked him for it he looked astounded and brought still water instead of sparkling. I was charged for both of them, however. I hate when restaurants don’t deliver everything I order and then make me pay for undelivered items.

A very nice hotel with a great golf course, also close to other good golf clubs in the area. The hotel also has a very good restaurant as well.

Lovely relaxing stay

Lovely location, clean facilities and friendly staff. Very comfortable room with kettle facilities and TV. Wonderful service. Only problem we had was our key card to room not working on 2 occasions where we had to get it reprogrammed.

The service was slow and a lot of reluctancy about helping at all that’s if you could find anyone on reception. I found the ladies cleaning the room mist helpful out of all the other , can be bothered attitude , staff.

Very friendly and efficient staff. Quite a remote pleasant location frequently used by various football teams for training. Return taxi journeys to the hotel were almost impossible to find. The hotel do arrange taxis from hotel to required destination but the same taxis won’t pick up out of their zone particularly during July/August. Car hire recommended if visiting during the busy months.

Awful uncomfortable beds, don't waste your money

We had booked this as an overnight stay due to moving house, when we got to the room after a very busy and stressful moving day, it looked okay but the beds were awful, absolutely rock hard, we could not sleep on the beds and ended up leaving the hotel that evening. If you're looking for a comfortable night's sleep, don't stay here, if you have a back or hip pain, you will not sleep, it's like laying on a hard floor. Absolute waste of money, I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. I have stayed in more comfort on a caravan holiday

Previously high standards have fallen

I have stayed here many times and been really pleased. This time, however, there has been a real drop in the usual high standards. I did not have warm water for a shower throughout my stay and there was a terrible smell in the bathroom. When I reported the issues I was met with indifference and they were not resolved. Service in the restaurant was also mixed, brilliant one day and abysmal the next

When I contacted the hotel prior to booking I was told there was a buffet breakfast. When I arrived they told me there is no buffet due to limited number of guests at the hotel. Instead they have a few items to select from a menu which you have to wait for, only for them to screw up your order and not deliver what you requested. The coffee machine only fills your cup to 1/3 so you have to press it 3 times to make one cup. There is no elevator either so you have to carry your suitcases. I needed to bring my suitcase to the lobby and the phone in the room was broken so I had to do it without assistance. First room had no working air conditioning so I had to switch rooms after already starting to unpack. Rooms are extremely tiny and much smaller than any other hotel I stayed in during my 6 week trip, where I stayed at over a dozen other hotels. This is an overpriced and super stingy hotel. Do not waste your money.
