WIND DRIFT AMENITIES Wind Drift isn't your typical Orange Beach property. This complex occupies one of the most coveted stretches on the Alabama coast—nestled between the Gulf of Mexico and Old River, bordered by a state park to the west. Translation: unobstructed sunset views, uncrowded beaches, and a location you can't replicate. The dual-waterfront setup means you're not choosing between beach life and boating access—you're getting both. First-come boat slips with direct river access across the street on Old River. A fishing pier where the catches are as good as the views. Trailer and watercraft storage for serious boaters. Two outdoor community pools with sundecks—one Gulf-front, one bayside. Tennis and pickleball courts for active guests. ORANGE BEACH DINING & ATTRACTIONS Orange Beach offers an exceptional dining scene within walking distance or a short drive. Local favorites include Flora-Bama Lounge for live music and legendary Bushwackers, The Gulf for waterfront dining in repurposed shipping containers, Zeke's Restaurant for fresh seafood, Doc's Seafood Shack for fried Gulf catches, Louisiana Lagniappe for upscale Creole cuisine, Cosmo's Restaurant for diverse menu options, GTs On The Bay for bayfront views, LuLu's for family-friendly atmosphere with entertainment, and The Hangout for beachfront casual dining. Orange Beach has earned impressive national recognition. Condé Nast Traveler named it a top 10 beach in the United States for 2026. The Orange Beach Festival of Art won USA Today's #1 Best Arts Festival in the nation for 2025. The Hugh S. Branyon Backcountry Trail earned the #1 Best Recreational Trail in the U.S. for three consecutive years (2023-2025). USA Today also recognized Orange Beach with #7 Best Small Town Food Scene in 2024.

Love the view and easy access to the beach all was clean and decorated nice. Loved the fact that we were not in the hustle bustle but close to go to town to shop and eat.
We enjoyed our stay! It was quiet and peaceful! The beach was fabulous!!! We relaxed and enjoyed every second!!! We will definitely come back to Wind Drift!!!
The condo was amazing with a fantastic balcony. Very clean and super comfortable living area furniture. May weather was great with small crowds. Pool was fantastic and kitchen ice maker was convenient. Looking into booking this unit again! Highly recommend!!!
This place was perfect for our family of five! The condo was clean and we had plenty of space as well as a beautiful view. It’s a smaller building so the beach isn’t overcrowded and we were close to many restaurants. We will definitely stay at the Wind Drift again.
We loved this property. It was perfect for our family of 4! Very comfortable and beachy. We love the location and small, non-high rise feel of the Wind Drift. We will definitely try to stay in this location again and again!
Overall this property is clean and quiet. We had problems with the internet and tv but we contacted Caroline and she got right on it. We will definitely be back.
The weather was terrible but the location and view of the Gulf were spectacular. Would like to come back and enjoy the beach. Love the location. Had a wonderful time in a beautiful condo playing cards with friends.
My husband and I decided to celebrate our anniversary at the beach and after perusing the condos available we opted for this unit based on the good reviews and the location. It was great! The unit had a good floorplan with plenty of room. The beds were comfortable but I recommend bringing your own pillows if you are particular about pillow loft, comfort, etc. The kitchen was well stocked with all the essentials and the undercounter icemaker was a big hit with us. The balcony was large and offered seating for 4 plus 2 side tables and a round pub table. There was plenty of room to bring a couple of lounge chairs too. The view was lovely from the balcony - no obstructions. We hope to go back again for a little longer stay. Also I want to mentionthat although there is some renovations being performed on the building, we barely heard anything other than occasional hammering or sawing but it wasn't much. The unit is very quiet. We didn't hear neighbors or traffic from the road.
Our days consisted of breakfast (for your info no restaurant know what basted eggs are, the last day we discover what they call them, "steamed eggs" and that is a good description for them), Pickleball was next and one of our primary reasons for choosing Wind Drift (Could never find anyone who knew anything about getting access to the area across the street where the pickleball was suppose to be). We found the OB Rec Center with 6 indoor courts and great people! After that it was time for the Beach packed with lunch and libations for most of the afternoon. Then a little kick back at the condo and off for the evening. Our favorite place was Flora-bama Good entertainment at all hours of the day combined with cocktails to enjoy. We like our fish cooked rare the south seems to like ruining them fried well done, so the menu's did not serve us well. Orange Beach is a hidden secret of Florida and we had a great time with our stay. We will be back.
The WindDrift itself, as well as this condo were spotless clean! Great location, near other lower density buildings. Beach Service (Best Day Ever Beach Service) was great by having our chairs and umbrellas out by 9am and we were able to pay using Venmo. Only 1 mile from Florabama, and very close to The Gulf outdoor restaurant which were both wonderful. Our stay was in October, so no huge crowds and perfect weather! The condo was nicely decorated and had a great ice maker that made the little square cubes. The walkway leading to the beach is not long at all. There is a nice sized beach, then it dropped down to a few feet more before the water. I imagine the small drop-down is due to the surf and is probably temporary. If you need an elevator at the condo, be aware that though it was working the first day, it was not the next day. Bring extra toilet paper, paper towels and garbage bags. There was only one kitchen towel and a sponge so it would be great if the owners consider adding maybe 6 of each to the kitchen supplies. Aesthetically speaking, a bed skirt on the king bed would add a little warmth to the primary bedroom. This is not a corner unit, but a very nice third floor view of the beach, from the balcony. Overall the four of us thought it was great and well worth returning to. If you go in the fall bring a few old blankets as we did to watch the sunset, as the beach service picks up their chairs and umbrellas at 5pm. The blankets were also good to have while in the shade of our umbrellas, reading, visiting and drinking cocktails! Note: I try to be very honest and thorough because I greatly appreciate and consider reviews that show both the pros as well as the cons! Would highly recommend this condo!
This cute beach condo was very nicely put together. It was perfect for four adults. The kitchen was fully stocked with cooking utensils, pots, pans, a slow cooker, blender, etc. The furniture seemed to be very new and the beds were comfortable. We absolutely loved our stay and wished it could have been a bit longer.
One day we experienced very heavy thunderstorms and that forced us to stay inside. However, a very pleasant delight was that the new televisions were wifi equipped and that allowed us to use Netflix and Amazon Prime to pass the time.
The condo was exactly as its presented. It's easily accessible, clean and comfortable.
I will definitely stay here again.
This was a great rental and it was perfect for our family. The location was perfect and so beautiful. My husband and son were able to do surf fishing from the beach. They caught a beautiful skipjack. The condo had comfortable beds with good quality sheets ( something I am picky about). The ice maker was fabulous and the balcony was large and right on the beach. We will be back.
This 2 bedroom unit was perfect for our family of four. Parking was a nightmare but the unit was quickly accessed from the elevator and the beach. It was quite even though there were many other guests in the building as well. The unit was clean and all appliances worked. The master bathroom was very small. Rooms in the pictures are smaller than they appear. The ice maker in the room was a huge bonus! The beach was clean. We look forward to staying again in the future.
Property was cleaned great! I’m pretty sure pictures changed from booking to arrival. Bed situation was different from the original booked pic. All in all great stay! Really enjoyed it.
We had a good stay in Orange beach. Location is great. Condo is nice and as advertised. Did have problems with the internet not working bc it wasn’t hooked up at all. Contacted manager who was very friendly. Most frustrating thing was we were asked to contact the internet company directly, and of course that’s the last thing I want to do on vacation. I’m tired of having to always call AT&T while at home and that’s why I need a vacation! After we called and waited on hold for 10 min we were told a guy was coming out. He did show up about an hour later and quickly fixed the internet. Everything else was great. Would book property again in future.
Great location- perfect for family of 4.
Will definitely stay again.

Misleading title/ great location
The condo was literally titled as newly remodeled as well as in the description. This condo is not newly remodeled. The sheetrock repair was mentioned in the master but not the big hole in the ceiling of the living room. It had been covered with plastic and tape. A vent was hanging out from ceiling and about to fall at any point. The shower in the kids room was falling apart. The handle was broken and kept falling out and the door was off on the bottom and swinging around. Oh and there's a nice rusty shelf to set your towels on.. The kids room also had a lamp shade sitting on the night stand but no lamp. They didn't have any kind of dresser. Only a old desk with a few tiny drawers. In the living room some of the wicker chairs are broken, a broken lamp where the bulb is dangling by the wire wasn't removed but just unplugged and left there. Which is important because many of the bulbs are burnt out in the 80s track lighting and throughout the entire condo. The 80s entertainment center is fine as long as u don't open the drawer and the handles come off. The furniture on the balcony is literally falling apart. Believe me there's more.. All of these things really aren't a problem for me.. The problem I have is that it continually said newly remodeled. I'm getting my family excited for this beautiful newly remodeled condo I got for us right on the beach and then we show up to that. For what I paid and what the title and description said, I was incredibly disappointed.
The location is perfect, view is amazing. The ice machine is great. The closet with all the beach stuff is open which is nice. Nice pool. We enjoyed our stay despite the condition of the condo.
