Seascape -"Toes in the Sand"

Overview

Welcome to "Toes in the Sand"  this is a 3 bed/2bath condo located on the 3rd floor of the low density "Seascape" complex in Orange Beach, AL. The kitchen is fully equipped for all your culinary needs, boasting all the large and small appliances, utensils and cookware needed to whip up a scrumptious meal. The outdoor pool(not heated during winter months) is at the front of the building and the beach access/boardwalk is only a few steps away on the Gulf side of the unit! Parking for 2 vehicles is directly underneath the property (parking is single file and HOA is very strict regarding staying between the parking lines.  Parking over or on the lines could result in vehicle being towed.  There is also 1st come 1st serve parking located near the pool. There is not a parking fee with us. The elevator located in the middle of the building allows you quick access to the 3rd floor.   The primary bedroom (king bed) and guest bedroom #1 (queen bed) is on the main floor.  The upstairs loft (2nd guest bedroom) has 2 twin beds that over look the main living area (no tv in this bedroom).  Sleeper sofa in main living area sleeps 2. The large glass sliding doors in the main living area  as well as primary bedroom show case fantastic views of the Gulf.   Location, location, location we are centrally located and within walking distance to souvenir shops, restaurants, and entertainment including an arcade, go karts, mini golf and 5 minute walk to the beach. Pool is closed Oct-Mid March.

Added Conveniences

You will receive a follow up email after you book. Check-in information and door codes will be sent a day prior to your stay and then again at noon on the day of your arrival to the email address that you used to book your stay.

Complimentary STARTER supply: travel shampoos and soaps, one dish detergent pod, one load of laundry detergent, two toilet paper rolls per bathroom, one roll of paper towels, and two kitchen trash bags are provided. You will be responsible for supplying the remainder of supplies needed for the duration of your stay. Our goal is for you to not have to rush to the store to fight the crowds the first night you arrive

Spring break

Overall our stay was good. Very short walk to the beach and the pool was nice too. While we were there the elevator was being worked on so we did have to walk to the third floor which was a bit inconvenient but still manageable. The condo was nice and clean. The outside of the building could use some maintenance. Especially the railing on the deck.

We absolutely loved The Weaver House! It was a perfect size for an extended family getaway. The grounds were beautiful and Arndt was so fantastic to work with that we have already reserved for next year!

Wonderful time.

Set directly on the Crystal clear river this home is perfectly located to tour all the many small towns, wineries, lighthouses and sand dunes on the leelanau peninsula. Had a wonderful, relaxing stay! Thank you for sharing your beautiful piece of property with us!

Glen Arbor Gem

Perfect place for our multi-family reunion. Quiet stretch of the Crystal River in the backyard, and 5-10 minute walk to a small sandy beach on Lake Michigan. The property manager was really nice and willing to help the whole week. Really enjoy and recommend. Will definitely stay there next time we go to Northern Michigan.

Elegant yet welcoming. Very clean. Enough room to spread out. Well stocked kitchen. Tanja Wittrock is the best. Spectacular views. Nature at its finest. Great restaurants and shopping in town and in the area. Wonderful wine tours, nature trails,🛶🚲🏌🏽‍♀️ historical sites. This area has it all.

Lovely Vacation!

Lovely home with loads of character! We had a wonderful family vacation at The Weaver House. My son and grandsons caught fish right off the deck! Everyone enjoyed the kayaks and the fire pit. The house is much larger than I thought it would be; plenty of room for our children and their families to “spread out”. We loved the Crystal River and the short walk to Lake Michigan! Hiking, fishing, swimming, shopping, wine tasting, and just plain family fun; we had a wonderful vacation!

Beautiful home!

We had a wonderful vacation at The Weaver House. Everything we needed was there and it was just a short walk into town. Our Grandchildren absolutely loved the kayaks, and fishing and being able to swim right off the dock in the back yard. And my daughters loved being able to easily keep an eye on them. We had every convenience and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Arndt was very easy to work with and only a text away if we had a question. We will definitely book again when we have the whole family going to get again!

Great time in Glen Arbor

This is a great place. Way more room than we needed for my family of 5. Walking distance to downtown Glen Arbor. Convenient to all of Sleeping Bear. Crystal River is literally right off the back deck. I felt it was easy and safe for my young children (6, 9, and 11) to kayak. We went all the way to Lake Michigan and back, although the young ones had to take some breaks on the way back upstream. Owners are great. Everything you'd hope for. I'd definitely come back to this place.

Perfect for our family of eleven ages 6 thru 71. Convenient to area attractions. Boats were In great shape. Even supplied wadding shoes and life jackets. The river is aptly named. Even saw a bobcat up-close on an early morning kayak trip. Great area hikes and bike rides of little difficulty. The dunes are special. The pool table saw hours of use. The weather was perfect. Perfect location in a Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore

This was our second time staying at the Weaver House and we are already planning our return next year! This house is the perfect location for your family to explore Sleeping Bear Heritage Trail, Lake Michigan, Glen lake, towns like Leland and Empire, and even breweries and wineries in Traverse City. Glen Arbor is a great town for shopping and eating (best restaurants by far in this area). The kayaks at Weaver House are a HUGE bonus, saving us hauling ours from home and allowing us to kayak right off the back patio on Crystal River. They even had kids kayaks! Kitchen and laundry are top of the line. Beach is a short walk across the street (sunsets are a cant miss). Arndt and Tanja are a dream to rent from and answer any and all issues quickly. We’ve been coming to this area for a few years now and Weaver House/Glen arbor is officially our favorite! :-)

Beautiful home

We had a group of 10 people, 5 "aging" couples celebrating our 70th birthdays. The Weaver House was perfect in every way. The home is huge so there is no crowding. 5 bedrooms, so we all had our own bedrooms. 2 kitchens, stocked with everything but the food you bring. Nice bathrooms, and a view to die for. Right on Crystal River, and I mean right on it! We sat out on the deck and watched the fish and ducks and all sorts of birds. It was ideal in every way. Arndt was very easy to work with and responded promptly to my texts. We highly recommend this home for you group get away. You will not be sorry.

Crystal River access right at your door

Our multigenerational group found plenty of room to spread out at the Weaver House. The dock on the edge of the beautiful Crystal River gave the four kids, ages 3 to 8, a great place to jump into the water, and plenty of space for the parents and grandparents to watch and join in! The River has a gentle current and a sandy bottom, making it perfect for swimming and kayaking on the many kayaks at the house. The house was clean, spacious, and equipped with everything we needed to have family dinners around the large dining table. The house is on M22, this gave us easy access to Sleeping Bear dunes, Glen Lakes, and a 2 minute drive to the shops in Glen Arbor. There is plenty to explore. Traverse City is a 45 minute drive. Communication with the owners was easy and precise. Thanks for the great summer experience!

Roomy House in Beautiful Setting

The house is actually much bigger than the photos show, sprawling, even. That's nice for when you want a little alone time, yet there are plenty of spaces for everyone to gather together. We were lucky to have beautiful weather all week in September and spent the bulk of each day on the deck watching salmon, turtles, herons, etc.; having a fire in the large pit, and kayaking. (A note about the kayaking--two took on water in two separate trips causing our group to have to return before a kayak sunk--the caretaker did find other kayaks for us to use for the rest of the week. He was very responsive in general to any of our communications. The kitchen is fully stocked. (There was a second kitchen in the apartment above the garage, but we never used it.) About the only thing that could have been better was that the carpeting in the house has definitely seen better days. There were a lot of stains, though we could tell it had been recently vacuumed. (I suppose it took a lot of wear from other renters over the summer.) All in all, it's a great place for family/friends to get together.

Spacious house with an absolutely pristine location on the river

Great house for a larger group, and you can't beat the views from the back deck. The crystal clear river is perfect for wading or boating right off the deck, and there is opportunity for plenty of wildlife sightings across the river too. The living areas are nice and open, and the dining room table is big enough for everyone! The one slight downside that's not apparent in the listing is that the layout of the rooms is a little odd. The bunk room is adjacent to the main living area, and indoor access to one of the bedrooms requires a trip through it or another bedroom (outside access is an option as well). It's not necessarily a deal breaker, but it can make some sleeping situations tricky if everyone expects privacy. Overall, I would highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to host a large group or family on a pure Michigan vacation!

All About the River

Loved this house! We're very familiar with Glen Arbor area but staying right on Crystal River was magical for our extended family trip. We used the kayaks and SUPs every day in every direction. Such a blast to stay right on the water, and this house is built to take full advantage of views and access to Crystal River. Our host, Julie, was great and was quick to help with anything we needed.
