Brilliant place to stay!
We had such a fab time in Opunake especially thanks to Suzie and her awesome pad. The bach is trueoldschool Kiwiana and comfortably fit our two families of two adults and four kids. Great property for kids to play outside with plenty of space, safe bike storage and nice and warm in this colder weather. Thank you for the milk and cookies that you left for us - what a treat. We hope to be back and reccommend this place to all!

Suited for purpose
Appreciated the host putting the heaters on for us and the milk and yummy biscuits. There was a good selection of movies for kids which was great as it was a wet weekend. Needs some tlc in places and wifi.

Great guests - Left everything clean and tidy :). I agree, the house is over 100 years old, so is always going to need work - But we plan to pull it down and build new eventually, so won't be spending the big bucks on major items. I think it's pretty good for it's age :).

Everything there for family stay. House needs exterior wash but interior cosy with excellent furnishings and heating. Towel rail in bathroom was broken and bath/shower adequate but basic. Very handy to shops and cliff walkway.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Great weather. We celebrated our sins 21st with just few family members and took part in fishing and swimming. The house had everything we required.

Feels like home as soon as you walk in the door.
Loved our stay here. Perfect spot to cosy up after a busy day in the Naki. Kids loved all the board games. 2min walk to main street and 4squares. 3 blocks from beach. We will be back!! Ps thanks for the welcome beers and biscuits :-). Leatherby whanau.

The property was ideal and the owners were kind enough to have a welcome gift for us on arrival. Everything we needed was there. It made our short break so enjoyable. We absolutely plan on returning soon and recommend it to our family who visit the area regularly 😀

Spacious historic house in Opunake
Our family of five had a wonderful week here. The kitchen was very well equipped and the lawn was great for cricket. There were some great DVDs and games and a helpful folder with local info. The house was very close to the main street and near the start of the beautiful Opunake walkway. Suzie was an amazing host. We would definitely come here again.

Lovely bach in a great location
Such a lovely spot. Beach was brilliant, just round the corner from 2 4squares and nice cafes and great walks right on the doorstep. House was very comfortable for 6 people and had everything we needed. Dvds and games were much enjoyed. Great property, would definitely stay here again.

Family beach holiday
This was a great place for a multi-generational holiday with more room and facilities than expected. The house is comfortable and Opunake is an interesting place to visit with a long walkway, good beaches and art scene. About an hour to New Plymouth with lots of places to visit between.

Perfect for us
Exactly what we needed as a whanau. A quiet comfortable, homey place to chill out at. Close to 4 squares, pubs and cafes. Great communication. We'll be back... Hopefully in summer to make the most of the beach

Cute Cottage
We had a lovely stay at this cute cottage, it had everything we could need and a beautiful view of the mountain. Really appreciate Suzie leaving heaters on for our arrival and the biscuits and beers, lovely touch. We had a great time!
