Quiet Place in Opunake for Big Group
Smooth check-in process. Clean and spacious rooms. Fully furnished kitchen and dining. We enjoyed cooking and hanging out in the kitchen/dining area. Highly recommended!

Great spot
Had everything we needed and was well set out and handy to shops and the beach...comfy beds and great shower No gas bottle tho... we had planned mostly bbq meals so had to grill instead

Location plus.
Great location with easy access to town and beach. The house is large and accommodating for everyone. The house had plenty of towels, linen and the kitchen well stocked. Overall cleanliness was good. Our group would stay here or recommend Argyll Retreat to other groups wanting yo visit Opunake.

Family breakaway
Second time we have stayed here great location, plenty of space in the house and well kitted out for cooking etc. Tidy and comfortable house and furnishings.

Fantastic Location
The property was amazing! Clean and tidy with plenty of space for all the family. Large outdoor deck as well. Super close to the beach and local cafes. Would definitely stay again!

The accommodation was perfect...open door to a spacious faimly living area...felt like home away from home...catered to all my families needs or wants...so relaxing with beautiful indoor outdoor flow windows...bedding was numberless...could of brought the granparents as well...great cooking area and bench for the babies breakfast...beach walk just seconds away and park for kids to get away...shower was amazing big and peassure to bost about...ping pong table was a winner...played almost all night...smart tv to keep babies settled to dream land...over all 10 out of 10...a place away from home like home...relaxing flowing and great for big families or couple...highly recommended to all perfect place from shops beach and park...AS ARNOLD SAYS....ILL BE BACK LOL

Awesome stay in Opunake
Loved our stay at this property. Very homely. Great communication and a perfect location. Kitchen sink was a bit dirty with a bit of meat in the drain and the bathroom sink had toothpaste in it - maybe sinks had been forgotten while cleaning up. Everything else was clean and tidy. I did think that a lamp would be handy next to the bed 😊 all in all we would definitely stay again. Thank you very much.

An amazing home away from home.
We absolutely loved our stay. Communication with owner was quick and easy. The location was great, and allowed us to walk to beach and an easy drive to explore walking tracks around Mount Taranaki. Table tennis was awesome in the garage as it rained some of our stay. Has a lovely working kitchen. And was very warm from heat pump and wall heaters in rooms.

Great location, all amenities catered for, wifi, Netflix, Freeview, BBQ, outdoor seating & Garage. Shops down the rd, playground pretty much next door, beach just a little bit further. Couldn’t ask for anything more from the owners

Opunake Golf Stay
We found our stay in Opunake absolutely fantastic. The accommodation was first class and we would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for the perfect place to stay, to stay here. We would definitely stay here again and are hoping to book for next year once dates are confirmed.

Loved our stay here, the house was clean, large, comfy with everything we needed. Dinner on the deck was my favourite. Super close to two playgrounds, a public paddling pool and a beautiful beach with lifeguards on duty. 10/10 recommend
