Beautiful & comfortable
This is our second time staying here. We love this property. It's very comfortable, spacious, and the view is just amazing. Special bonus this time the water was low enough to walk down to the lower beach. No hesitation to stay a 3rd time.

This stretch of coast never disappoints and Jason's property has the best of both worlds: A nice deck with grass yard overlooking the water and clean sandy beach to enjoy. Jason was flexible in adding dates which was much appreciated!

Spring break family getaway
This is our second visit to the Sandcastle Beach House. I simply can't say enough good things about this house. True Sand Castle
What an absolutely lovely place. The perfect amount of things to enjoy but not an overage to have to clean up. A great place any time of year or in any weather. Lots to do, beautifully furnished and clean. I highly recommend this place!

Early Thanksgiving
We wanted to spend some time with our grown children and their significant others prior to the craziness of the holidays. We had plenty of room for 8 people, loved the outdoor area and view, and were pleasantly surprised at how well stocked the house was (dishes, spices, extension cords, etc...). Everyone had a great time!

Girlfriends' getaway three night stay at this awesome property. The location is amazing - right on Lake Michigan with a sunrise view every morning. Beds were comfortable and kitchen had everything we needed. Loved the great room with the fireplace & lots of comfortable seating, including a dining table for eight - it was perfect. Lots to do in the area - we hiked in the dunes at Kohler Andrae state park, visited the art museums & dined in Sheboygan and spent a day in Cedarburg. We hope to return next year to do everything we missed. We had a great stay!

nice house, well appointed, comfy beds. Kitchen was well equipped, and location was beautiful... great views from kitchen and master bedroom, great walk out to the lake. nice game room in the basement, and lots of board games in the upstairs. Unfortunayely, we didn't have great weather for being outside,but overall, a good weekend!

Peaceful getaway
This lovely house truly has everything. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything we needed to make breakfast every morning. Sitting by the fireplace every evening after returning from long walks at Kohler Park was lovely. The home is beautifully kept and very comfortable. Its set in the perfect spot on the lake with a spectacular view. We were lucky to have one day where the clouds opened up just enough for the most beautiful sunrise. Thank you so much for sharing your lovely home. This getaway was filled with memories we'll cherish. We're already planning our next visit.

House on Lake Michigan
Beautiful property nestled along the shoreline of Lake Michigan. We spent a chilly and wet October weekend at this house. We loved that they allowed our dogs. There was an outdoor hose to wash them off. The master bedroom had a beautiful view of the lake with a wall of windows located on the main floor. The second floor held the second and third bedrooms with a shared bath. The third floor held the fourth bedroom with its own bathroom. The kitchen was extremely well stocked with everything we needed for preparing and sharing meals. The pans, dishes, knives, and kitchen tools were abundant and quality. The basement had multiple game stations that we used. There was a fire pit outside that we used the night it didn't rain. We couldn't figure out the gas grill but there was a charcoal grill with charcoal, lighter tube and fuel that we did use the first night. Overall, we'd stay there again. It was excellent.

Successful girls' weekend!
Great house. Weather was perfect for enjoying the outside deck. View of the lake is amazing; we were treated to beautiful sun rises and a spectacular moonrise. Plenty of room for 6 of us to relax in luxury. Visited an apple orchard and spent some time in Sheboygan. Plenty to do in the area. Best part was relaxing on the deck and enjoying the sights and sounds of Lake Michigan. Great property and property manager.

Unbeatable View
My husband and I recently stayed at the Sand Castle and it was absolutely wonderful! It was just the 2 of us and we spent most of our time outside so it was way more house than we needed, but it was also JUST what we needed…a nice, quiet, peaceful, relaxing getaway. You cannot beat the location & the view of the water. We had never spent time on Lake Michigan, but it’s beautiful. The waves were rough a couple of days so it sounded like the ocean. I would definitely come back to this place. It’s comfortable and cozy & did I mention the view? The only thing better than a beach, is a beach where you’re the only ones on it! Ok, now other stuff: we only used the master bedroom and the bed was super comfy. If you like really FIRM pillows, you may want to bring your own. Place was super clean! Floors in master do creak so if you’re a light sleeper, may want to bring some earplugs. Didn’t bother us. Ice maker didn’t make a ton of ice and the stream of water was slow so if you like a lot of ice and water, may want to get some bagged ice and bottled water. Game room looked super fun! We spent pretty much all of our time outside soaking up the view so didn’t use it, but still fun to have and a nice bonus! Kitchen is stocked with about everything you can imagine. Even the bathroom had a curling iron and straightener with the blow dryer! Check-in was super easy. Host was responsive. I was worried about the trash, but I think we did it right. Lol Overall, 10/10 would recommend!

Relaxing family vacation
We really enjoyed our time at the Sandcastle. The house is clean, very roomy, and comfortable with plenty of space for everyone. We loved being right on the water and it was so quiet. The large yard was a bonus and there were so many games and activities provided! There are two wonderful state parks within close proximity and lovely beaches. Swimming at the property is very challenging, but with close local beaches it’s not an issue. The bakery and Judi’s restaurant in Oostburg are not to be missed! It was a wonderful stay and we’d love to come back in the future!

Hidden Gem: Sandcastle Beach House
My family and our guests had a lovely time at this charming lakeside gem! It's perfectly situated on the shores of Lake Michigan, at the end of a quiet road. The open layout lets the sunlight dance through, though keep in mind that sounds travel easily throughout the main area and bedrooms, so privacy conversations might be challenging. The main bedroom with a king-sized bed has the best view of the lake. The rooms upstairs are nicely sized with views of the woods. The hosts provide bath towels and super soft bed linens, but remember to bring plenty of beach towels. The beach area has natural stone steps leading down to the water. While we were there, the lake level was about waist high and extended quite a way out before getting deeper. We only took a dip on days with low wave action. The kitchen was well supplied with everything a cook needs – pots, pans, spices. There's a Keurig, but you'll need to bring your coffee. No worries though, the nearby Piggly Wiggly store has a lot of options. When we weren't swimming, we kicked back in the lounge chairs on the deck or explored nearby Sheboygan. Don't skip the cool Oostburg bakery – it's got scrumptious treats and a groovy 70s architecture that we loved! The only minor hiccup was deciphering the instructions for the main TV and streaming services.

Amazing Property!
This house is amazing, perfect for our girls get away, 7 adults with plenty of room too spread out. There are views from every window, and you can hear the lake waves. The patio is spacious with lots of seating for a large group. There is a fire pit, just FYI bring your own wood or a neighbor on the main road sells it $5.00 for 25 pieces a great deal. There is a beach a short walk from the house , where the road curves for you to come down the lane. There is a path to walk down. we can't wait to come back as it is just spectacular. Jason is a great host was really attentive when there was a heat advisory he sent a message as to how to keep the house cool worked perfect. Honestly you can't go wrong staying here.

Family Vacay
We enjoyed the location, lake front, quiet neighborhood of modest homes, great yard for corn hole. Plenty of tables to gather around. Several guests had to work and the WiFi accommodated that. Well equipped kitchen but we bought extra wine glasses for the house. Appreciated that our dogs could join us. We ventured to Sheboygan, Door County, port Washington and the Oostburg bakery. Highly recommend.

Family Reunion
This place was overall great for our family reunion. However, the A/C did not work at all on the upper floors, which made things a little uncomfortable for everyone staying up there. We had to have fans running full blast the entire time. The host was contacted but was not very helpful. The floor seemed as if it had not been completely cleaned upon check-in. We took the vacuum out to clean ourselves and found it to be completely filled with debris and not working. Again, tried to contact host to let him know about this, but not very responsive. We had to buy our own towels, as only 1 towel was supplied per guest. Overall great place and great week with family.

Juliana- thank you for staying at the beach house and Im glad that you found it "overall great" for your family reunion. Yours was a very large group, so your review would help "very large groups" like yours. We clearly state that we only supply one towel set per person, and that if you want extra towels, simply bring beach towels. At the end of your stay, a guest can know that all beach towels belong to them. You can even use our washer and dryer, which is brand new, state of the art, and has an "express function", at the end of your stay. Or take 'em home and wash after vacay? The cleaning gal tried to contact you after your stay, to find out what was wrong, as she takes great pride in her work. You told her that you were too busy to help her out? So we'll assume it was a full vacuum? We count on the guests to empty the vacuum when it fills up. We can't monitor it 24/7. Lastly, I need to address the A/C. With large groups, at any house, in extremely hot weather, the A/C can be tricky. If people are frequently opening and closing doors on the main level, the house can get really hot on upper floors in the sun. It's important to set the thermostat low and keep those fans going during the day with a large group. If the upstairs heats up too much during the day, it is not going to recover at night. Especially with a larger group. It's a house not a hotel. Lastly, I don't have any record of this guest trying to contact me? I am always responsive and try to keep my guests happy. I'm glad that you concluded "Overall great place and great week with family." I invite you to come back to the beach house and enjoy Lake Michigan again. Thank you.

Vacation in style, beauty & comfort.
The house and property were absolutely perfect! Every person was happy to have their own private space as the house was very accommodating to the size of our group. The kids were also happy with the available game equipment in the basement. Adults were very grateful for the relaxing lakeside view. We enjoyed bonfires with smores and moved the Adirondack chairs all around the backyard to enjoy the view and each others company. The property is super relaxing with all the comforts that you can think of. The Sunrises were also amazing! We will be back. Thank you.

Perfect Golf Trip House
Cool house with lots amenities, very clean with nice deck, plenty of parking and lovely yard at end of private road. House is perfect for golf weekend, the guys or couples. Layout is conducive for individual privacy and/or bigger groups. We are very familiar with lakeshore area from Belgium to Two Rivers with ever changing water levels affecting beaches. ***Current condition, No Beach beyond rip wrap.*** HOWEVER, this is perfect for golf trip destination, containing dogs in yard and safer for young children. Thanks, Susan! I'm glad you loved the beach house! To clarify- the house has a large sandy beach area that is above the rock border rip rap that is perfect for kids and relaxing on the beach. Recently completed stairs, in May '23, provide easy access, through the rocks, to the water. The stairs also provide access to the lower shoreline beach- when the Lake Michigan water levels are low enough. We're almost there!!! No matter what the lake levels are, there is ALWAYS access to the water and swimming via the stone stairs. Fishing too! I invite you to come back to the beach house any time, Susan! Just perfect
This house was one of the nicest we've started at for our family of 5 adults and 1 2.5 year old. The place was spacious, well equipped, and lake yard was unbelievable. We spent most of our time outside, hanging on the deck, playing yard games, playing on the beach. We hope to come back next year, pending 2024 rate increase.

Spring paradise

Incredible property
We were very impressed with the house and its location. Unfortunately we had bad weather so couldn’t take advantage of the fire pit and the lake. Well stocked kitchen, lots of spices and oils which we appreciated. Some of our party found a great resale shop in Oostburg with unbelievable bargains, so that was fun! Visited JMKohler Art Preserve and Sculpture Garden. Not to be missed!

Pretty location, quiet neighborhood
Nice place for us to stay while having some work done at our home. Great yard for our little dog, quiet setting, pretty sunrises. Everything worked as expected and having access to the garage was plus.

Super Solid Place
Everything you'd need for a typical stay was present, and the house was clean and easy to find. The location is amazing, but it's not a sandy beach type lakeside place, as mentioned in other reviews. Not a problem, really, as public beaches are nearby. Great fire pit, plenty of backyard space, all in a truly great location.

I'm glad you loved the beach house! To clarify- the house has a large sandy beach area that is above the rock border rip rap that is perfect for kids and relaxing on the beach. Recently completed stairs, in May '23, provide easy access, through the rocks, to the water. The stairs also provide access to the lower shoreline beach- when the Lake Michigan water levels are low enough. We're almost there!!! No matter what the lake levels are, there is ALWAYS access to the water and swimming via the stone stairs. Fishing too! I invite you to come back to the beach house any time! Thank you so much! We love the Sandcastle!
We have been staying at 'The Sandcastle' for the past several years for our family vacations and absolutely love the experience. The spacious house and its great amenities make for a perfect vacation. The backyard and view of the lake are amazing during the day and great for evening fire-pits. Highly recommended.

Lake side stay
Home was well appointed and was at the end of a dead end row so we had lots of privacy. Everything was clean. Location was great...close to Kohler State Park with lots of great trails, Sheboygan (several great restaurants and the Kohler Art Center) and the Kohler Spa (very luxurious). My only wish was that the home had better window views of the lake. Whoever the architect was didn't design the house with that in mind.

Thank you so much! The house was designed by an architect in 1990, before my time. The primary bedroom has awesome views of the lake and the upper bedrooms have really awesome views of the woods. The idea was that the design encourages people to gather in the living areas, and outdoor spaces, to enjoy the lake and each other! It's a unique idea and a unique design if you really think about it? It's one of the many things that make the house quirky and cool! Girlfriends Getaway
Perfect location for a cozy girlfriends getaway. Easy check in. Plenty of bedrooms for everyone. It was winter time so we did some beautiful beach walks and enjoyed the gorgeous views from inside while playing games & cooking dinners. Would definitely recommend. I can only imagine how much fun it would be in the summer.

Winter beauty
The house was great. Awesome view, peaceful location and minutes away from Sheboygan if you want to go out. The basement game room was a huge treat for my son.

Friends weekend
The house was great for our weekend of games, food and conversation. The patio and fire pit were great. The kitchen is well-appointed. A very comfortable stay overall.

Late holiday gathering
It was as presented. We had lots of room and enjoyed the area. The waves were really crashing and the sound of the lake was like an ocean. Unbelievable! Only complaint was we didn’t have enough towels for everyone and we’re only asked to bring beach towels, which we didn’t because it was January.

Thanks! I also love the crashing waves. For future guests, we provide one towel set per person, so please bring beach towels, year round, for extra towels. That way if you see a beach towel, you know its yours! Thanks again, and come back any time.

A wonderful place to stay with your family!
This is our third year staying at this home and it remains to be wonderful. We love that it is pet friendly and our dogs love to roam and play here. It is spacious and the six of us had plenty of room to enjoy our visit. We always come up for a Packer game and this year we really enjoyed the game because they broke their losing streak. Thanks for this great vacation. See you next year!
