"We stayed at the house and enjoyed the private beach. We caught lots of crabs. We went to the hatchery, which is on Gwen‘s Island and got to learn about the oyster farming. We booked a charter with dead rise, charters captain Trey taught us all about the crabbing industry in the oyster industry the island Gwen’s Island Cottage is a nice little place. It was clean with the wonderful art on the walls. They had everything we needed to play in the water, kayaks, paddle boards, crab pot, crab nets. We were close to Busch Gardens in Claudia Williamsburg. We got to visit both of those. We drove down to Hampton to the airspace museum. We explored the Gwynn’s Island history museum( highly recommend), and Bethel Beach. Cheri, the property manager, was very responsive provided a huge amount of detail prior to the trip, and it was promptly answering all our questions during our trip. Our dogs enjoyed the trip. Our kids enjoyed the trip and we enjoyed the trip. We’re very thankful for the experience the opportunity."

"I would recommend to anyone looking for a getaway! The hosts were just lovely! They were very informative and helpful all around!Check in was super easy! Fully stocked pantry and amenities! Kitchen was quaint and perfect for all cooking needs! I would go again! It was a wonderful time! Close to lots of great beaches! Great learning opportunities bc of all its museums and historical sites! 10/10! Spend some time relaxing in VA at Kimary Cove! "
"Room was clean and bed comfortable. The place looked fresh, appeared recently redone. Heads up: a damage deposit of $50 in cash is required, credit card not accepted for damage deposit. So, if you don’t have $50 in cash, you will not be able to rent a room. And, when you check out, you have to wait while the manager goes to the room and makes sure there is no damage. "
"Overall great experience and would stay again. Proximity to beach was great. Games, Puzzles, and DVD collection was a fun bonus for the kids. A few minor improvements could put this place over the top. Because they’re older, some doors don’t close fully and none of them lock. Some extension cords with charging stations in the bedrooms would be a nice touch. The lower level does get warmer than the upper level but the fans help make it manageable. We did appreciate the number of hooks available for hanging wet towels and swimsuits. The beds were comfortable and the linens were clean. The outdoor hose and shower and the indoor mud room shower were great. Off street parking and outlet for a golf cart was also nice. Great experience overall and the owners were very helpful with any questions. Another fun summer at Cape Charles. "
