We believe reviews should be total honesty. It is so unfortunate that this guest has decided to be otherwise. We understand that people have differing opinions and expectations but we can only confirm the following at our Kiwi Bach. It is not the Novotel nor do we portray it as such - 1. The property has a wood burning fire & not just electric heaters. An expected quantity of firewood had been used for the stay and we confirm there is a 2kw heater, an oil column heater and a dehumidifier as well. There are extra duvets and wool blankets available. 2. The rear steps to the river may look old (& yes they are) but they do have a handrail & are regularly checked. Two steps have just been replaced. It is not a main entry point and can be avoided if preferred. 3. It is not a requirement to put a warning into a bedroom that has one small step. 4. Advertising clearly states our policy on linen. There is no extra charge if you choose to use ours. The $10 per stay charge allows for the laundering of mattress & pillow protectors and duvet covers. Everyone gets charged this fair and acceptable fee. We confirm that it is an option only to take your own as any linen you use of ours must be laundered before departure. This is also clearly stated and on making your payment you are confirming that you understand all requirements. Under amenities in the advertising it also notes there is a clothes drier. Sorry you have missed that. 5. We do not supply endless toilet rolls. Our listing confirms ‘some’. One roll per night for four people would be an acceptable quantity and is just a token until you are able to get to the shop. 6. There are pantry basics but it is standard Bach rental practice to take what you need for your stay. It is unfortunate that the guests did not see the carton of milk in the pantry. There is also ample cleaning product on site. 7. We do not have WiFi. Many of our guests enjoy being away from the constant demand of devices and actually enjoy the experience of board games etc with their families. We do hope this guest enjoys their next Bookabach experience wherever it might be.
