The only downside was the area, which was pretty rundown & seedy. We came across many druggies & alcoholics coming to and from this hotel. The hotel is fairly central though and once past the surrounding area, within walking distance of lots of the historic buildings and places of interest."

"While it is true the area is a little run down, it is perfectly safe to walk around day and night. Like London, Athens does have areas which are run down but still safe. The hotel itself is great. Friendly staff, decent rooms and a good restaurant. For what I paid, I have no complaints!"
