The best area to stay in Old Town Benidorm is within the Old Town itself, particularly around the Church of San Jaime and Santa Ana.
This area is the historic heart of Benidorm, characterised by narrow, pedestrianised streets, traditional white-washed buildings, and a relaxed, Spanish feel. It's built on a headland between the two main beaches, Levante and Poniente, offering excellent views and easy access to both. The Balcón del Mediterráneo, a well-known viewpoint, is a central landmark here.
Couples often find this area superb for a romantic getaway. The winding streets are full of charming tapas bars and restaurants, ideal for evening strolls and enjoying local cuisine. The nearby Levante Beach provides a lively setting for daytime relaxation, while the slightly quieter Poniente Beach is also just a short walk away.
For solo travellers, the Old Town offers a welcoming and convenient base. You'll find plenty of opportunities to mingle in the local bars and cafes, and the compact nature of the area makes it easy to explore on foot.
