The Point House Luxury 5 bedroom Oceanfront Villa with Cliffside Pool, Kayaks
10/10 Excellent
"This property exceeded all of our expectations! The house was clean, large, well maintained, well stocked, and a great size for our vacation with our 4 adult children and three of their significant others. We were met at the airport by caretaker, Harrison. Can't say enough about Harrison. He provided our dinner the first night we were there. He was so helpful, shared island food with us, and took great care to help with anything we needed. We spent a lot of time in the pool and some at the beach on the property. Also spent a great day at the beach in New Bight. The water is something you see in the movies and felt like swimming in a pool! The view from the property is gorgeous. We saw some sharks and barracuda swimming by. We had an amazing boat outing with Reco from CBSF Fishing. First mate, Shane, hunted lobster, conch, snapper and they cleaned them all for us. What a delicious dinner that night!! The owner was very responsive to my questions prior to our trip and very helpful with suggestions on logistics of getting to the island. Would love to go back some day! Thanks Stephanie and Harrison!"
Banana Wind Oceanfront Home ~ Private Beach, Snorkeling, Kayaks, Stunning Views
10/10 Excellent
"For two of us, this property was perfect! Itās designed for 2 couples or small family with 1 & 1/2 bath. I wouldnāt want to share but you easily could. Nothing fancy but perfectly adequate. Good A/C, loved the clothesline and even better, the many hooks inside the house. Easy access to swimming and snorkeling in Cutlass Bay, some shade coverage on deck and terrace near beach. Friends rented The Point House which offered a pool, so itās a good combo to rent if larger party. Same with Gate House but we didnāt go into that house. Kayaks are fun to use tooCat Island is a laid back, non-touristy island. It forces you to relax. Activities other than swimming, relaxing and light snorkeling are hard to come by. While we didnāt participate, Greenwood has dive and snorkeling trips. So if low activity isnāt your jam, then Cat Island may not be for you. We found it perfect with incredibly friendly people, all extremely helpful and sharing. Do your research on where to eat and youāll eat well. From this property, on the weekend, you can walk to Da Pink Chicken (recommend!) but need to drive for other dining experiences. We loved Hidden Treasures and Greenwood Beach Club, but itās wise to call ahead to be sure they are open. Da Smoke Pot was a fun Rake and Scrape experience too. And Oliveās bakery has delicious bread, especially coconut and cinnamon. The New Bight Airport and much welcomed road paving in southern part of island should be done by end of 2026."
Hibiscus House Oceanfront Paradise in Fernandez Bay
10/10 Excellent
"The house is fantastic! There is a Nespresso and a drip coffeemaker. There were a few spices and plenty of pans and oven cookware. It is wonderful to be a short walk from the Fernandez Bay resort for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The the washing machine and dryer were handy to have onsite. You can pack light! And ... the house has an RO system for drinking water which is great. We all fell in love with the house. "
Cat Island Paradise . Overlooking turquoise waters and sky, sunrise and sunset.
10/10 Excellent
"We had the most amazing stay! The house was superbly located on an elevation that allowed for 360 views from the wrap around veranda. Well-appointed kitchen with everything we needed for our stay. The beach is a short walk with access to explore the many reefs by snorkeling. The host was welcoming and responsive. Loved it!"
"The perfect vacation home depends on what your perfect vacation is. This was MY perfect vacation home. We wanted comfort, and seclusion and we got it! We stayed early November of 2025 and never saw more than two people out walking the beach. There are a couple other homes within view but they were empty. The deck looking out over the ocean was definitely a highlight but the inside was very nice also. The upstairs and downstairs can be rented separately but we rented both just to make sure we were alone. Also there is some snorkeling stuff in the garage (accessed from the upstairs unit and more in a closet in the downstairs unit. A couple things to be aware of. You have to buy drinking water and ice for drinks since the house water is only for bathing. Also the house is quite a drive from almost all stores and restaurants so buy plenty of supplies before going there. Spend time on google earth getting familiar with the island and where some of the stores and food places are. There are two main grocery stores and both are ok but we liked Gilberts better. And while we didnt explore lots of places to eat we loved Hidden Treasures with chef Trevor. It takes quite a while to get your food so i recommend calling your order in an hour early or take your swimsuits and swim in the calm crystal clear water right outside his backdoor while you wait. The property manager lana was great and very responsive to amy questions we had. "
