There is native bush nearby, Haast is a part of UNESCO World Heritage Site. I have not seen a pool nor heard anyone talk about it. The room was tidy and quite clean. Not much to choose from in Haast but I’d at least think they could make the outside area look nicer. Was a bit junky on the outside. Motel could use updates but I guess you get what you pay for.
