Some of the communication was difficult but the staff tried really hard and we enjoyed the stay Hard to navigate getting to and from major stations and it snowed one day at end of March Overall I’m glad we did it for the experience to be immersed in Japanese culture. "Everything about the property and my stay there was magical and beautiful. It’s very remote and hard to get to but very much worth it. The only drawback is not having much time to explore the town but if you’re looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city there’s not much better. "

"The hotel is situated up in the mountain and built right next to hill side. A great place to relax and just unwind closed to the nature. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. We were at the hotel ahead of the check in time and they were eager to safekeep our luggage while we ventured out for some sightseeings. The dinner and breakfast were served to us in a private room. Not only was the quality of food top notched, the dedicated staff who was served us was the epitome of Japanese hospitality. Despite our lack of Japanese, she did her best (with the help of a electronic translator) to explain the courses and made us feel very pampered and comfortable. The property and decor does look a bit tired and dated. But the services were impeccable and that more than made up for the somewhat outdated hardware. All in all, a very enjoyable experience. Highly recommended."
