"Excellent property. Kids love the bunks and being across rd from beach and playground. Unit is great size for families and has everything you need for a mini break or longer stay. Good wifi. Recommend also the walking distance cafe and restaurant."

Ohope is just far enough from Whakatane to be close enough to quickly drive over for shopping. Not too many choices for food, we ate at two of the about 4 places to eat in the village and were not disappointed. Main road is very busy so take care.

Awesomw beach. The is why you go to Ohope. Plus Ohope has a lovely little shopping and cafe area.
