"The rooms looked newly remodeled and were very clean. I had a really good stay. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars was there were a few small black ants creeping around the floor in the bathroom as well as the main area by the bed.
Also, I guess it's not really the hotel's fault, but I was in a room with an adjoining door to another room and I could hear their TV clear as a bell. More soundproofing between rooms woulda been nice. But overall I would totally recommend this place! "
Deep Water Access with a Panoramic View of Chokoloskee Bay
10/10 Excellent
"Had a great time in Chokoloskee, exploring the area by boat. We had our own small boat, and we launched it and kept it at the dock while staying at this beautiful home on the water. We had some great fishing, even though unfamiliar with that part of the water in Florida. It does get shallow, so smaller boats are best here. The home was very clean and comfortable, and the host is very friendly and accommodating. The property outside was wonderful too. Great waterfront views all around and a really nice fireplace by the water. The sky is full of stars at night, and I love hearing and seeing all the wildlife. A gem of a place. We officially love chokoloskee and the islands. We even got engaged while watching the sunset one of our nights here on an island not too far from the property. We could take our boat anywhere anytime. Definitely will be back, this is our special spot in our home state of Florida! "
"I had not just a great visit but a magical visit to this part western Everglades. My eastern Everglades tour was spent in a high rise chain moderately priced hotel. It was outside the park and every day that I returned to that facility the spell was broken but by the mall atmosphere.
In this charming motel I arrived to an adventurous crowd sitting in lawn chairs outside their rooms enjoying the sunset. In the morning charming cafe very reasonably priced and good quality food was next door.
The staff was welcoming and knowledgeable steering me to a local restaurant that was awesome live Cuban music guitar and singer in a screened in porch setting on a river. I watched the moon abd star rise over a boat moored outside the door. The Cuban seafood cuisine was to die for. Finally the owner of this establishment called me personally a day after Expedia and I screwed my reservation to resolve the matter in my favor even though she was not required to do so. It’s nice to be treated with respect and fairness far from home. It only makes my memory of my stay more golden. I will return and recommend you stay in this magical place for your trip. "
Waterfront RV with Boat Slip in Chokoloske...Surrounded by Everglades Nat'l Park
10/10 Excellent
"The property is as advertised. The RV has a few miles on it, but was clean and everything worked. One sleeping area has a great view of the Glades. The porch is covered and also faces the Park. Boat slip has easy access to the Everglades and there is spacious parking for boat trailer and vehicle(s). My 12 yr old grandson and I created some great memories. This is about as “natural old Florida” as is possible to experience. Wildlife, natural beauty, stargazing and Fishing, fishing, fishing. Oh, and GREAT sunsets. Thanks for maintaining this place for us to enjoy."
