"Tidy, modern amenities and comfortable house with a gorgeous view. Our family enjoyed our stay - especially the comfortable beds. It was a good base for us to visit family in the area. We were able to park in the car port and navigate the steep driveway in a large family car. Had the feeling of a nice hotel with lots more space."

"It was wonderful to have a whole bungalow to ourselves, in such a quiet area, yet only a couple of minutes drive into fascinating Oamaru (where there's plenty of free parking). The beds were very comfortable, a lovely spacious lounge, with 2 large sofas, and it was good to be able to cook our own meals in a proper kitchen, rather than having to eat out each night. In short, it felt like home! Fred couldn't have been more helpful and kept in prompt contact for all our needs. "

"We had a great stay at the Kakanui Cube. The house is well-designed, modern, clean, with all the amenities you need (laundry, sharp knives, comfortable bed, plenty of space). We slept so well with the sea air nearby, and woke up early each morning to catch the magnificent sunrises. Equally enjoyable are the sunsets — the way Kakanui is situated you can enjoy both over the ocean. The house is in a rural area so WiFi bandwidth can be an issue — it may not be practical to expect to be on zoom calls...

Not sure you are aware the side cupboards in the bathroom are broken,just looking at them you would think they are ok, but as soon as you open the whole lot collapses. And just one other comment your cleaners need to lift the bottom of shower drain, it was disgusting as it was filled with black long hair and a little blocked. We did clean it for you. In saying this we would definitely be back."

"Comfortable and spacious, close to the town centre and facilities such as Countdown and restaurants. Was sent the address after we had started our trip and had to chase the manager for it. Apparently there was a glitch in the system. Perhaps because the bathroom is new, (with a great tub!), there weren't any towel rails or a shower basket/shelves (found a broken one under the sink)."

"Stayed with 6 adults didnt find it crampt was exactly what was listed and is a traditional kiwi bach. Only stayed 2nights wish we had of booked longer. Beautiful views lovely beaches short trip to oamaru and awesome friendly neighbours who helped with a flat tyre would totally book again might even plan my next trip."

"The tiny home was perfectly fine, amenities were good, and the bunny watching from the window was very cute. However the email that arrived just prior to check-in that advised the use of earplugs to block the sound of traffic and trains…well it was good advice, but arrived a little too late. The perpetual falling of objects from the trees overhead onto the metal roof of the house all together with the train rumbling through and trucks thundering by, lead to a less than decent sleep.
