"Spacious grand entrance, pleasant helpful reception staff. Room was of a good large size, modern, contemporary, clean with excellent facilities. 24-hour bar with good selection of drinks. Breakfast was exceptional with a wide range of choice and fresh produce of a high standard. The hotel exceeded all my expectations and would not hesitate to stay there again."

"We had a fantastic stay at The Barnsdale, such a beautiful, relaxing and picturesque venue. We enjoyed use of the spa, which is beautifully done, small and intimate. Evening meal in the Brasserie was delicious with fabulous service and breakfast was just as delicious, with lots of choice and was well organised. All staff were very polite and helpful, especially the lovely lady on reception. The welcome glass of wine on arrival was such a lovely touch. Only disappointment was that the king size bed was in fact two single mattresses pushed together, also the window wouldn’t open and so the room was quite warm. All that said, the room was clean, cosy and so beautifully decorated Overall though, our stay was so beautiful, and so so relaxing! Thanks so much for having us"

"Lovely warm reception when I arrived, which was nice and the staff were very helpful throughout my stay. The outside area around the hotel was very neglected, which didn’t give a great impression but the rooms were very clean, if a little tired and in need of some re-furnishing. For the price paid, and the cleanliness of the room, I would definitely stay here again. Would just be nice if the area around the hotel was a bit tidier as a wrecked car was even sitting in the parking area around the back."
