The fully stocked kitchen gives you the option to have dinner on your oceanfront balcony or take advantage of the close proximity of many restaurants.

Oak Island Beach Villa's Community offers a swimming pool, basketball court, volleyball court, swings, and barbeque grills. Oak Island Golf Club and Duffers Restaurant is directly across the street.

Perfect beach... but

Property weekend staff were very rude, week staff perfect! Room was musty and cleaning was not well. Dust was on ALL side tables, from more than just people before(like old dust), in master room WAS NOT QUEEN SIZE BED, full size .???? clearly says on listing Queen, was not and VERY UNCOMFORTABLE. Beach was PERFECT! People in and around location very friendly and family oriented! Will probably not stay at this location again but Oak Island, Caswell beach area is fantastic.

Adequate but most likely would not visit same unit again

Great location and access to the beach but sleeping accommodations and several other of the amenities need to be upgraded. "Master" bed is very uncomfortable and too small considering there are only two bedrooms. Would be nice to have had access to some beach chairs or umbrella as all of these things had to be purchased. Served its purpose and we enjoyed our time but would most likely rent another unit in the same complex when we return.

Disappointed at best

I try to be objective when I post a review but there are few positives I can say about this property. The positives are: great location, quite beach, easy access to the beach. The negatives I found were: I sent 2 request for additional information to property manager but no response. Upon entering, there is a musty smell throughout the condo and even in the sheets provided. The AC unit is locked to a small window of temperature change so be prepared to stay hot during your stay. The unit was not clean at all, trash through out the unit, food crumbs, (which led to roaches) and hair found in the kitchen area. The pictures are deceiving as to the size of the unit, it is considerably smaller than it appears. And as for 1st floor, you still have to climb 1 flight of stairs to get to it. Unfortunately I can not recommend this property, or the management

Ok for the price

The location was perfect. The condo was ok. First impression was a musty smell downstairs..and upstairs smelled like old wet bath mats that were laid out. The tv in the bunk bed room kept shorting out..it would only stay on for about 15 mins at a time, so I had angry kids. The beds and pillows were pretty uncomfortable, so sleep was scarce. There was old and hard pizza crust found under the couch and inside the rolling tables in the living room right after arrival. It really needs some upgrades. qe would have paid more for them. And I took the bath mats up and used hand towels...it grossed me out to use old dingy smelly mats. All in all...you get what you pay for. Wasn't a bad place or great place...just ok..hence the 3 star rating.

Great location. Property was okay.

The location of the property was perfect and the size and price of the condo was excellent. The pool was great too! Our only complaint was that it could have been a bit cleaner. There was sand in the shower, mold in the washing machine and we had a couple of roaches visit. There was an overall musty smell too. I wanted to say I loved this place because it was near perfect, but the cleanliness was disappointing.

enjoyable vacation

We loved our stay. The property was great and so close to the beach. The beach was beautiful and not too crowded. We enjoyed all of the close restaurants and will definitely come back.

Family vacation

Great place. Pictures make it appear much bigger but it is still a wonderful place for a family vacation. Loved that is was close to the end of the property and the beach was not crowded. The balcony is a terrific place to read or watch the waves or have your morning coffee!

Well located and comfortable - but smaller than expected.

The Caswell Beach property was easily accessible and very close to the beach. There was plenty of parking available close to the unit. The kitchen was pretty well-equipped. The living room area and dining areas were a good bit smaller than I anticipated, but were adequate. The upstairs bedrooms were comfortable The patios offered an excellent view of the ocean. The condo was clean and well maintained. A good value.

Sun, Sand, and Family in 2016

This was our first time to stay at Oak Island. We have visited Ocean Isle for the last 5 years, and we found Oak Island to be a pleasant surprise. My daughter, her two pre-teen children, and I all found our condo to be clean, comfortable and convenient. Better Beach Rentals' service was great! Everything was ready for us when we arrived to get our keys. The condo is right on the beach. It contained everything we could have asked for in regards to household items, comfortable furniture, and cable/wi-fi. We had a wonderful time spending time in the ocean. We enjoyed preparing our own meals as well as dining at the local eateries. The kids loved the mini-golf that was nearby. All in all the vacation was relaxing and peaceful. We fully intend to book our stay in Oak Island again next year. In the meantime, we have great memories. Thank you so much!!! 5 out of 5 stars!!
