Stroll along the waterfront at Windjammer Park, where sea breezes carry the scent of lavender from nearby farms. Birders flock to Skagit Bay's shores, while beachcombers can unwind on West Beach or explore Fort Ebey State Park's rugged coastline.
There is a naval air base on Whidbey Island, so you do hear jets typically in the morning. Oak Harbor is growing as a town and a number of new restaurants have arrived. We go every year for the Coupeville Art Festival in August which is fantastic!

There is a lot of noise from the Naval Air Station, but the area has grown and adjusted to the "Sound of Freedom"!

We used to live there so it was nice to be back to see all the growth and visit friends and family but I wouldn't stay at this hotel again.
"Absolutely loved our stay! Truly wonderful lodging, with a huge suite (we had the Admiral suite.)
The jacuzzi tub in our suite was great and really relaxing. The continental breakfast and extended time to grab it was terrific. We will be back to stay here!! Also- Sushi Moto restaurant adjacent to the inn is tasty!"
"First time here. You can tell they’ve done a lot of renovations. I really enjoyed my stay here. We had the premium king deluxe room with a view. Well worth the money as the view was stunning. The hotel room was clean and the staff were friendly. "
