About this property

Sunset Water Views | Theater Room | Pool Table | Near Trails | Seacliff Haven

  • Seacliff Haven sits above the water on the west side of Whidbey Island, and the view is what everyone talks about. It shows up in nearly every room, from the soft morning light on the water to the sunsets that pull the whole group outside each evening. The house is quiet and set apart, with plenty of space for a big family to spread out, and it's the kind of place people choose when they want everyone under one roof for a holiday or a reunion.

The main living area is open and bright, with high ceilings, tall windows, and warm wood details throughout. A fireplace anchors the room and gives everyone a natural place to settle after a day out on the island. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking for a crowd, and the breakfast nook looks straight out at the water, so first coffee comes with a view. A washer and dryer make longer stays easy.

When it's time for a movie, the theater room is where the group ends up. The game room adds a pool table for friendly rivalries, and the front porch is there for slower afternoons with a book and the sound of the water.

The primary bedroom has a queen bed, a TV, and its own bathroom, plus a private balcony facing the water. It's the best seat in the house for morning coffee and the last light of the day. The second and third bedrooms each have a queen bed and an attached bathroom. The fourth bedroom also has a queen bed and shares a Jack-and-Jill bathroom with the fifth bedroom, which works well for families with kids or friends traveling together. A sofa bed in the bonus room adds space for extra guests, and the home sleeps up to 10.

Guests often mention the hiking, and some of the island's best trails start just down the road. Fort Ebey State Park is only a few minutes away, with bluff-top paths, forest trails, and driftwood beaches. Ebey's Landing and its famous bluff trail are about 15 minutes south, and Fort Casey State Park, with its lighthouse and old gun batteries for the kids to explore, is a little farther. Historic Coupeville is about 10 minutes away, and its wharf on Penn Cove is lined with small shops, galleries, and seafood spots known for local mussels. Deception Pass makes an easy day trip to the north, and the Keystone ferry to Port Townsend is close by when you want to see the other side of the water. At the end of the day, though, most people find their way back to the house for one more sunset.

Beautiful setting on the water. Plenty to do at the house with the game room, theater and hot tub, and plenty to do nearby on the island, including great hikes.

The nightly sunset views from this property were magical! The house was well equipped with everything we needed and there was room to spread out. Our group explored Whidbey island during the day and then stayed in and cooked dinner at the house each night. We loved watching movies in the theater room after the kids went to bed. I would definitely recommend this house!!!
