"Breakfast not worth it. The building is old, so clean for how old it is, I think? Things are just kind of falling apart, the toilet felt like it was going to come off the floor, the towel rack did fall off, but the jetted tub was in great shape and lovely so could have been a newer addition.
Signage for the phone at check in is not clear, we are very educated people, but were made to feel very stupid when we didn’t go around the outside to the left 2 corners of the building to see the phone to call for check in. Then our reservation wasn’t found because she didn’t “hear” my last name correctly until I spelled it. Just overall an unwelcoming arrival, but that’s the only contact we had to have so that’s fine. The resident deer are sooo cute and come for apples and goodies and obviously have been there for years. I don’t think we will go back, we live locally but just look for a few days away from home now and then.. but it was just ok."
"Although this place advertised a complimentary continental breakfast and we pre-booked with Expedia, there is a sign at check in saying they no longer offer the breakfast. This was not known until check in. The lady at the check in desk just mumbled, "I guess they hadn't changed that on the website."
The manager was supposed to call me about this but he didn't.
We would not have booked this place had we known there wouldn't be breakfast.
The only bright spot was a staff member named Bethany that came to our room to help reset the TV (which at first did not work)."
"Overall pretty satisfied. My 2 areas of dislike were the strong scent in the lobby. So strong I could taste it, it made me concerned about how the rooms might smell and they were fine. The other dislike was the lousy “breakfast”. Very small with limited options, cereal, waffles, bread, yogurt and coffee. That’s it.
The woman at the front desk was very helpful and accommodating.
I would stay here again. "
"The only thing that could have made this hotel perfect was if they had a breakfast of some kind. The kitchenette is great, especially if your staying more than a night but when you have to be up and out early it would be nice to be able to go grab something downstairs. The location is great. The staff was friendly and the room and everything was very clean. "
