"Hotel is perfectly located to explore the city centre in foot. Parking is expensive but worth it for the location - can be reserved but we had no problem getting a space without reserving. They were happy for us to park a lot earlier than check in time. Room clean & comfortable with spacious bathroom."

"C'était très bien facile pour se garer sur le parking parce que au centre ville de Gand c'est impossible. Il y a un bus qui vous amène au centre-ville c'est très pratique ou sinon un uber, c'est une dizaine d'euros. Les chambres sont très spacieuses et décorer avec beaucoup de goût. Petit déjeuner (petit) mais on a quand même trouvé de quoi déjeuner."

"We really enjoyed our stay at 1898 The Post. We stayed in a "Postcard" room, which was small but comfortable and very charmingly decorated. I don't know if all the Postcard rooms are laid out the same way, but ours had the shower/bathroom sink in an upstairs loft area, and the toilet in a separate small closet downstairs near the bed and desk. This was not a problem for us, but might be for others who have difficulty with stairs. Very convenient location near the Gravensteen Castle. We didn't avail ourselves of the breakfast, but we did have a drink in The Cobbler bar, which was very nice! The staff was very friendly and professional. Would recommend this hotel and Ghent generally to anyone visiting Belgium! "
