The best area to stay in Notre-Dame Des Vignes is the village centre, particularly around the Place de l'Église.

This charming area is the heart of the village, characterised by its historic stone buildings, narrow lanes, and the prominent 12th-century church that gives the village its name. You'll find the majority of the village's amenities here, including delightful local eateries and wine tasting rooms, all within easy walking distance. The main street, Rue du Clocher, runs directly through this central hub.

For couples seeking a romantic and authentic French wine country experience, staying in the village centre is ideal. You'll be perfectly placed for leisurely strolls to local vineyards for tastings, enjoying intimate dinners at traditional bistros, and exploring the historic architecture. The convenience of having everything on your doorstep allows for a truly relaxed holiday.

Travellers interested in a deeper dive into the region's viticulture will also find the village centre highly convenient. Many of the smaller, family-run wineries offering tours and tastings are either located directly within or just a very short walk from the central square.

The best time to go to Notre-Dame Des Vignes is during the late spring (May to June) and early autumn (September to October) months.

Late spring offers pleasant weather, with temperatures typically ranging from 15°C to 20°C, and the vineyards are lush and green. This period is ideal for those who enjoy outdoor activities like cycling or walking through the picturesque countryside without the intense heat of summer.

Early autumn provides equally agreeable weather, with average temperatures between 12°C and 18°C. This time of year is particularly special as it coincides with the grape harvest, known as 'vendanges'. Visitors can witness the activity in the vineyards and experience the region's winemaking traditions first-hand.
