Perfect

A perfect place for a peaceful holiday with our westie, Paul and Stella are wonderful hosts and the cottage is like a home away from home, very comfortable and the hot tub is an added bonus. Views across the fields to watch the owl, hares and other birds is lovely.

Wonderful Peanut

We had a wonderful time at the Peanut. Stella & Paul are lovely hosts and everything was perfect, the dogs loved the garden and paddock. We saw loads of wildlife, owls, deer, hares from the garden. The cottage was so comfortable we didn’t want to go home. We would definitely recommend and hope to be back next year x

Beautiful cottage and fantastic location

We really enjoyed our stay at The Peanut - the cottage itself is beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean inside and out. The courtyard is lovely and the hot tub is the cherry on top! Will definitely return in the future. Brilliant location and fantastic hosts too! We had a lovely time with our two dogs, one of which can be very nervous, but he settled right in. Couldn’t ask for anything more, it was great! :)

Beautiful, dog friendly property

The cottage is very clean, well supplied with kitchen items and good quality furniture. A lovely tiled shower room, with towels provided. Outside, a well maintained garden with large patio, enclosed and safe for dogs with outside furniture and two person hot tub. Access to a secure paddock for dog walks was really convenient and easy to use. The owners were very friendly.

Perfect Peanut

This is loveliest wee cottage for two people plus furry friends . It is situated in a quiet rural area with plenty of walks /beaches close by . Property has everything you would need and is beautifully decorated . The private enclosed garden and paddock were perfect for our feisty wee border terrier.

Sets the bar for all holiday lets

The Peanut exceeded all our expectations- secure garden and surroundings for our dogs, thoughtful and stylish decor with super comfy sofa and bed, a well equipped kitchen and gorgeous shower. The Peanut was warm and cosy but also airy and surrounded by stunning countryside. The biggest treat was spending every evening listening to the birds while sitting in the hot tub. The owners are really lovely and welcoming and have clearly put their hearts and souls into their holiday lets. Best Norfolk holiday with the dogs in years and years

The best by far

The Peanut was far the best cottage we have stayed in. We have been holidaying in Norfolk for almost 40 years several times a year. Paul and Stella were wonderful hosts. Our dog, Cav, loved the paddock and the long walks along the tracks. There were many excellent places to eat including The Poachers Pocket at Bacton, The Lighthouse at Walcott and Vera Café at A G Meales Garden Centre.

Peanut is a beautifully presented cottage which has everything you need, including a lovely welcome pack and a great hot tub and dog paddock for morning zoomies. Walks from the doorstep, including to local cafe and pub, are great for dogs and hoomans alike. Thoroughly recommended, as is ERC generally - this was our fourth stay and we will be back. Thanks for the vouchers x

Wonderful stay for us and our dogs.

Can’t think of anything that would have made our stay at the Peanut any better . Cosy , well thought out ( especially for the dogs ) , comfy and well equipped. The enclosed court yard and adjacent paddock were perfect for the dogs and took away any worries you sometimes have when on holiday with two big dogs. Great walk to the beach about two mile away ( with great dog friendly cafe ) and wonderful pub ( The Star ) about 20 mins. Our hosts made us feel so welcome and were very attentive. Great to find holiday accommodation so well thought out , we’ll be back.

Perfect Peanut

We stayed at The Peanut as part of a family group, also booking The Walnut & The Bumblebee. The cottage has lovely views over the fields to Happisburgh Lighthouse. A secure garden with comfortable outdoor furniture and a hot tub. Perfect for listening to the birds & relaxing with a cuppa. The inside is beautifully decorated & furnished throughout. Lovely bathroom & shower with soft fluffy towels & robes. Fabulous properties in a great location. Would love to come back soon!

A very comfortable, warm, stable conversion.

We had five days of rain. This meant that we spent more time in than we normally would. Fortunately The Peanut is very comfortable and has a courtyard for our dog. The paddock is an excellent facility for dogs. Whilst we were there a hot tub was put in place which is very nice. An excellent place to stay, any couple with dogs would not be disappointed.

Excellent holiday at The Peanut

We had the most relaxing holiday at The Peanut. Everything single detail at the property had been so well thought out. The Peanut itself was spotlessly clean and so comfortable but also very dog friendly (dog bowls, throws, bed, treats etc all provided). The outside space is also great for dogs. The Peanut has a large patio and a small grassy area but with direct access to the shared paddock. Our dog can be reactive to other dogs but this wasn’t a problem at all. We could easily see if the paddock was being used or not. The location is great as it is situated in a lovely quiet rural area but only a 20 minute walk to the pub (The Star at Lessingham) and a 5 minute drive to the beach at Cart Gap and Smallsticks cafe. We would highly recommend The Peanut and will definitely be booking again.

The Peanut, staying with two dogs

Our first time in Norfolk. The Peanut is in a stunning spot. Great location. Lots of sandy beaches within 10 to 15 mins drive. There’s a very useful ‘secure’ paddock for your dogs but beware, if you have a jumper….. my setter had to stay on a longline as he would’ve easily cleared the height. Lovely and clean. Practical non slip flooring throughout and a wonderful welcome basket filled with all manner of goodies.

Lovely cottage great location

The cottage was lovely. With a dog area which was well maintained. The owner were extremely welcoming and everything in the cottage was up to date and clean and comfortable. You are only a very short drive from a lovely beach and several beaches within a slightly longer drive.

May holiday

We had a nice relaxing stay at the peanut. Paul and Stella are very friendly and helpful hosts, the cottage is very well equipped and includes a lovely hot tub, the Star at Lessingham was a welcoming, dog friendly pub serving good food. Thank you to Paul and Stella for a great week, the dogs enjoyed their holiday too. The location is very good for access to nearby beaches and well suited for dog owners.

Fabulous short break

The peanut is situated in a beautiful area, with lovely walks on the door step. Alternatively the location is a short drive to a plethora of dog friendly places to visit. The peanut is unique in the ability to offer a break to dog owners as they have really thought of what your pup requires. We have a lazy bulldog and the courtyard and the paddock for wet days was perfect . The owners were incredibly helpful and we look forward to returning soon.
