"The place is old but generally nice and well maintained. There are several trip hazards from uneven surfaces on the backside of the building along the lake. My husband tripped in the dark (no drinking involved) and was lucky to not seriously injure himself. The room was clean adequate. The only issue with the room was the bed. If you like a very firm memory foam mattress you would rate the stay higher than us. My husband was hot and I can’t sleep on such a firm mattress. We did appreciate the...

"Classic early 20th century hotel, w/ large & plush lobby, well-kept, & somewhat small yet sufficient rooms. Ours had the benefit of a two-way view of downtown Superior, but the slight drawback of having awkward door access due to its location in a stairwell (!) outside of a door separating the stairwell & the main hall of the floor. The bed was adequate but not my lush ideal. The back entrance from the parking plot could use better signage. But my sister & wife agree that we’d return."
