Great experience

We recently had a 4 night stay at the River Chateau Hotel and had a wonderful time. The rooms are spacious and clean. There were 3 of us (2 adults plus 15 yr old son). The hotel is located out of the main part of Rome which was perfect for us. It's in a trendy neighborhood with great cafés and bars all in the same street. And no annoying beggars in the street! But what really stood out was the friendliness of the staff. Special mention to Alessandra and Luca. If back in Rome will definitely stay...

Fantastic stay easy to get cabs or buses into the city. Just needs a laundry service and an iron in the room. Better breakfast hours would be great too.

Quiet location in a garden setting. Close to Trastevere, but far enough sway to stay quiet. Rooms are modern, dark, well appointed with fab air con. Staff super friendly. Breakfast great selection. Lovely terrace with bar service too.

Great sized apartment and rooms. Quiet, clean and comfortable. Right at the top of the Spanish steps with access to great shopping and restaurants. Only difficulty is getting a taxi early morning as they don’t seem to come that way until later. Great breakfast included and the staff were very helpful.

Lovely hotel, great staff and breakfast is very yummy. But of a walk to see the sights and get into the city centre to have dinner etc but you can catch buses from pretty close

The staff who checked us in were just fantastic the nicest people you could meet. Even invited us to dinner with them. I would recommend anyone visit here. The view from our terrace is just amazing

Helpful staff

An older style motel type accommodation I was not happy with the first room I was given but they moved me to a recently renovated wing of the property at no extra charge which I was very happy with. Hotel is on the outskirts of Rome. I took a 17 euro taxi fare to the local station and then purchased an all day pass for public transport at the station. I was able to see all the sites of Rome in one day. Hotel has a very nice pool for relaxing when not sight seeing. A free continental...

We stayed at this property twice, in May and in June, and on both occasions it was an excellent experience. Grace is as gracious as her name, as is Nisrin and the lovely lady who provided our breakfast each day. We were provided with friendly service and big smiles, advice for restaurants and site seeing and private transport was also arranged for us. We were welcomed with a coffee and pastry when we arrived early and our bags were looked after while we explored Rome until our room was ready....

I loved everything about my stay at this property. Ernesto and Paula where amazing hosts - cleaning every day, personally preparing breakfast and ensuring that I knew where I was going always available in case I got lost. I also arranged for them to pick me up and drop me off during my short stay in Rome from the airport. They charged the same as Uber was quoting. Will definitely stay there over anywhere else again in Rome.

Great position- you can walk to all the sights! Lovely neighbourhood- not too busy & lots of lovely shops and restaurants close by. Vincent gave us some great restaurant tips too.

Fantastic location, easy train, metro or bus into the centre or to/from airport. Lots of restaurants and bars within walking distance. Room was spacious - family of 4 had enough space with the sofa bed and the separate bedroom. Note to use the full kitchen it was 15 euro a day extra so check the fine print, but we didn’t require it - just used the microwave and kettle which were available for use.
