Sunset Cove is tucked into a quiet and scenic stretch of shoreline just seven minutes from downtown Tobermory, one of Ontario’s most loved getaway destinations. Set directly on the shores of Lake Huron, the cottage enjoys a peaceful atmosphere defined by minimal traffic, wide-open water views, dark night skies, and the soothing sounds of waves and surrounding nature.

This location offers the best of both worlds. You’re close enough to easily enjoy Tobermory’s vibrant harbour village, with its charming shops, local cafés, galleries, and waterfront restaurants, as well as boat tours departing for Flowerpot Island and Fathom Five National Marine Park. At the same time, the property is far enough removed from the bustle to feel private, calm, and uncrowded—ideal for guests looking to truly unwind.

Nature lovers will appreciate the short drive to Bruce Peninsula National Park, home to the iconic Grotto, Indian Head Cove, and a network of hiking trails that wind through forest and along dramatic limestone cliffs. Nearby lookouts, lighthouses, and quiet backroads make it easy to explore at your own pace, whether you’re hiking, cycling, or simply sightseeing.

The area is especially well suited for stargazing and, on the right nights, Northern Lights viewing thanks to minimal light pollution. Calm shoreline conditions also make kayaking, canoeing, swimming, and wildlife watching popular pastimes right outside your door.

Whether you’re spending your days exploring the peninsula’s natural wonders or enjoying slow mornings and golden sunsets by the lake, Sunset Cove offers a perfect blend of privacy, natural beauty, and convenient access to adventure—an ideal base for experiencing Tobermory and the Bruce Peninsula at their best.

Contactless Check-In

Sunset Cove is a warm and inviting single-level, 2-bedroom, 1.5-bathroom winter waterfront cottage designed for relaxation, comfort, and quiet connection. Nestled along the icy-blue shoreline of Lake Huron, it offers a peaceful cold-season escape for families, couples, or small groups.

Inside, you'll find a bright open-concept living room and kitchen, perfect for gathering on snowy days. The fully stocked kitchen includes modern appliances, a coffee station, and a breakfast bar—ideal for slow winter mornings with a warm drink or cozy dinners after a day of exploring the peninsula.

The primary bedroom features a queen bed, private 2-piece ensuite, and a sliding door that leads directly to the snowy outdoor landscape—a serene spot for bundled-up morning coffee or peaceful winter views. The second bedroom includes a double/twin bunk bed, perfect for kids or additional guests. A spacious 3-piece bathroom with shower is conveniently located nearby.

When the weather turns snowy, settle in with board games, books, or head to the games garage for friendly competitions of darts and ping pong—perfect for fun winter afternoons indoors.

Step outside to enjoy the true winter magic of Sunset Cove: a wraparound porch, firepit, patio seating, and your private dock overlooking the frozen or icy-blue waters of Lake Huron. Whether you’re bundling up for a lakeside stroll, watching a fiery winter sunset, or stargazing under crisp, clear skies (with a chance to spot the Northern Lights), every moment here feels unforgettable.

Sunset Cove is built for cozy winters, peaceful escapes, and memory-making all season long.

Terrific place with amazing views and access to Lake Huron. Plenty of deck space, nice fire pit and info on the area materials were superb. Would love to go back every year, so many sights and sounds in the area to see and do.

This house was very nice. It was well equipped with everything we needed. The view out the back was worth a million dollars. We enjoyed sitting outside at night by the fire ring.
