"The staff are lovely and the location is great The rooms are dated and need refurbishment. The bed was uncomfortable and the king size bed was covered with two small sheets rather than one big one. The sink had a big crack in it. I wouldn’t have sold that room with that sink. There’s a lot of noise from restaurant patrons leaving and the people in the rooms above made a lot of noise at 2am. The restaurant is amazing and made up for the room. However, breakfast on the weekend is from 8am...

"Bei Anreise hatten wir keinerlei Informationen, wie wir in unsere Fewo reinkommen und wo wir unser Auto lassen könnten. Nur ein zufällig anwesender Handwerker half uns. Der Check-in war also denkbar schlecht.Danach aber war alles super: die in das alte Kurhaus (wie ein Schloss!) von verblichenem Glanz eingebaute Wohnung, die Ausstattung, die Lage, die Sauberkeit - alles war sehr angenehm und schenkte uns eine tolle Erholung"

"We were staying one night, breaking up a journey from Potsdam to Calais. The hotel was excellent for our needs, spacious bedroom, great bathroom and the breakfast was the best we experienced in 9 days in Germany and Belgium. My only word of caution is that the hotel whilst ideally placed for anyone travelling by train, it is about a 10/15 minute walk from the desirable part or Bielefeld. In fact the approach to the hotel was typified by run down shops and what appeared to be experiencing hard times. That said we would seek out Steinberger hotels if we are travelling in Germany again"
