"The lady at the front desk was very helpful. The first room she gave us had very little air conditioner actually coming out of the vent so she moved us to the room next-door, which had the same problem. She then moved us around the corner to another room which had more than acceptable amount of air-conditioning although on a really hot summer day could have been questionable. The bed was very comfortable & clean. The shower seemed to have been remodeled compared to the first two that she gave us. The TV was definitely newer in the third room. There was the weirdest thing in a hotel like this that still has carpet on the floors; there was a bidet in the bathroom and it actually worked! Weird for a Super 8, but ok…The room smelled too much like chemical cleaning products and all had carpet. It’s in a great location right next to a Love’s and could be like a really great property if they would put some work into the rooms. It was really cool that whoever actually does own the hotel and live there had a really awesome garden. it was acceptable since she was able to place us in a room with a working air conditioner, but for the price we have had way way better hotels that fit into the same category as a Super 8. Also, she said she didn’t know which rooms had a good air conditioner or not. There needs to be a list and they need to give customers the ones that actually work and fix the other ones."

"This cottage was absolutely perfect!! I loved how it was decorated and how fully stocked it was. They clearly put a lot of thought and effort into making sure you truly felt at home here. Five stars for how clean it was. It was just an easy home to feel relaxed in."

"We may be more particular than most people. In our room (402), the door to the balcony needs repaired as is hard to open & the shower nozzle needs replaced. Cleaning of the room was just okay/not excellent. Pool area was beautiful & Doc’s was a nice amenity. We were particularly disappointed in the Summit Restaurant, which has excellent service but the food quality was lacking. Everything was heavily over-peppered. Overall Shanghai-La Resort is a beautiful facility in a gorgeous location. We just maybe expected a little higher standard in our room."

"We were so happy with our decision to choose this house! We brought 4 different family’s with kids so we had a full house and it was perfect. The house was beautiful and the host was very sweet and helpful. The fact that they had an extra slip for our boat made it so much easier and there is even a jet ski/boat rental place in the neighborhood. The kids loved the included kayaks and the Lilly pad. The beds were comfortable, the air conditioner worked great, and the kids loved the hot tub and deck areas."

"We enjoyed our stay at Jalene and Chad’s home. There was plenty of space for our family of 16. We spent much time outside and loved the pool and patio areas that had several shaded areas, fans, and umbrellas to keep us cooler. It’s a beautiful setting with a large yard and trees. We saw several deer. We cooked all meals outdoors in the huge outdoor kitchen using the grill, smokers, and griddle. The home had everything we needed for cooking and plenty of towels for showers and the pool. Even though it was warm, we used the fire pit area for s’mores. Our hosts were wonderful to communicate with and check in was easy."
