This studio "sparkled." I wish we could have stayed longer. Beautiful oceanview right from the comfortable bed. Plenty of fresh, new towels. Very freindly, helpful front desk personnel.

Place is alright at best very outdated throughout the rooms, everything needs to be updated and kitchens are in dire need. All of our kitchen items weren't even cleaned prior to check in sad. I wouldn't stay here again

Checked in. 1 hour later pool of water at our door on 2nd floor. Staff remediated quickly. Pool was clean. Foot washer at beach was broken - fixed within 12 hours - well done. Toilet ran - flopper was broken in the tank. Coffee machine in lobby was malfunctioning. Not fixed in the time we were there. No balcony despite being advertised - if you call a 16 inch wide balcony a "balcony".

Nicholas,Thank you for the feedback, I’m sorry to hear that you had to wait longer than expected for maintenance matters, however all maintenance request are handled in the order that they are received. Coffee and coffee pots are always provided in the rooms in the event the coffee machine is down in the lobby. Additional coffee can be purchase for a small fee at the front desk. Maritime is a ocean front property that has private balcony's some rooms have a standing balcony and the others have a full sit down balcony depending on the room type. Thank you for your valuable feedback, it will help us make changes for the better."

Nice Hotel Except For Room Changes
Property was well kept, nice amenities, room has about everything you need. Was notified days before arrival we had to switch rooms for the second day, due to the property being a Time Share. It was minor a inconvenience looking back on the experience, but should be stated on every website before booking. Overall the staff was helpful, truly overworked, will stay there again.

The hotel was great staff was great .But we found hair on our sheets, and after we switched the sheets to the second pair we also found hair on them. The mattress pad also had a old pee spot on it and the bed was not comfortable.

The room was very comfortable, even though it was under construction and loud noises during the day Mon-Sat. The pool's heater broke, but I was able to use the hot tub due to some warmer weather. Best thing is the view from the balcony every day of the ocean, and what I cared about the most!

The Maritime Beach Club cannot be recommended for anyone with physical limitations and has poor maintenance and professionalism standards that would negatively impact any stay. I am physically disabled and requested 1st or 2nd floor accommodations, but was given a room on the 9th floor. I was willing to accept a smaller suite than reserved to allow for 1st or 2nd floor lodging, but was refused.  Other notable concerns included extended elevator waits, a severe shortage of luggage carts, no hot water, no service assistance for individuals with disabilities, a suite that had not been adequately sanitized prior to check-in (dirty towels and a large number of flying insects in the room). Ethically, I was very concerned when they attempted to double-charge me for my stay upon check-in and they pressed the issue until I provided my paid-in-full receipt. My week at this resort was so miserable that I attempted to rebook my flight home to leave early and would have done so if the change fees were not so expensive

The rooms are old, the bathrooms awful, very bad smell, things are falling apart in the rooms. They had to move me from one room to another after the first night, and both rooms were pretty bad. The first room smelled moldy, the second one just had an awful smell. I went and purchased my own room deodorizers for the room, it helped a little. Just an overall unclean feeling. Would definitely not stay here again.

Property is right on the beach. It’s a little bit dated. They have done some renovations but the finish work was not that great. Need to clean the room carpets. The pool area and access to the beach was great. All in all it was ok.

Bad Experience
Very bad surprise about the property. Bathrooms were dirty, building is not in good shape due to the maintenance period, AC broken...etc...we ended up our visit earlier moving to a different hotel in South Myrtle Beach.

Mold on the walls in the bathroom. Door knob falling apart going to the bathroom. Show pictures to the front dest. They said someone will come and take care of the black mold. No one ever did. Just a two night stay.

Perfect Ocean Drive Vacation
Perfect, staff was friendly, rooms were very clean and the atmosphere was great. Bar and grill on site was very nice too. Can't wait to get back. We loved it there.

The staff was very nice during check in and beyond. The property could use some updates. There was construction going on at the facility, but it didn't interfere with our stay. Our bedroom was cold due to being on the beach and the air conditioner wasn't properly installed in the window and unfortunately there were no extra bed linen to use. Overall the property was good. Not sure if I would stay again, not due to the service or anything, but I am aware that I can get better quality for my money.

Dear David, I sincerely apologize for the poor overall experience. Unfortunately, as the pool enclosure is a inflatable vinyl "bubble", it is dangerous for it to stay inflated in the high winds that we were experiencing. Additionally, the hot tub has been closed for the last few weeks due to a broken part we have been awaiting since we special ordered it in February. Finally, our Studios and 1 Bedroom Condos offer "Juliet balconies", which offer limited standing area. Only our 2 Bedroom Condos offer a balcony you can actually sit on. It saddens me to learn that any guest left unhappy or unwilling to return. I hope you would reconsider staying with us in the future.
