Garner Hotel North Bergen - NYC Gateway by IHG

"my bestfriend & i (2 girls in their 20s) stayed here for 3 nights while on our trip to NYC! great helpful & sweet staff, breakfast was decent & surrounding area was good! no sketchiness at night, gas station across the street pretty convenient, we ubered into the city at times or took an uber to the NJ path train & got into the city then but everywhere we were was pretty lively & we weren’t scared at all. the staff was also pretty helpful when asking questions about commuting or getting into nyc :) they also have a private shuttle from the hotel into NYC for only $5 per person!! 10/10 overall, many towels provided, coffee 24/7, snacks in lobby, clean, minimal noise although it is by the highway so you might hear some cars but nothing crazy. i’m not one to write reviews but i figured i could’ve this time haha. Thank you Garner!!"

"Overall a fantastic stay. Staff are amazing, restaurant excellent. Room spacious and well appointed, although worn at bits. Bed and bathroom excellent, best shower ever"

"My stay was very nice it’s close to everything you could possibly need. The restaurant was rather small considering there were 2 parties going at the same time. Overall it was a great stay."

"This hotel is outdated but I like this hotel. I have stayed here twice when take a cruise out of New York. The rooms are spacious. The hotel is clean. The breakfast is better than other hotels. You can walk to restaurants and it's easy to get to the cruise ports in New York and New Jersey."
