My husband and I had the pleasure of staying here to celebrate our 10-year meetiversary (the anniversary of our first date) on our first trip to Maine. The pictures absolutely do the place justice. The setting is calming and relaxing, and the quarters are comfortable. (I liked that this home is not in a touristy area.) We appreciated that all the bedding and linens were provided and were happy for the appliances in the breakfast nook, including a full refrigerator with a freezer. The solarium with the pool is gorgeous. I was grateful for the opportunity to swim in the pool after I severely broke my ankle early this summer and ruined my chance of having any summer fun. The upstairs suite is spacious and comfortable. After our long drive in overnight, we watched a lot of YouTube and Netflix in bed our first day. The animals are all so cute and sweet. The hosts are so kind. My husband fell ill during our trip (a non-infectious malady), which required an emergency department visit. When I told our hosts of this bad news and requested we stay an additional night to rest before returning home, instead of continuing our Maine adventure, they were so very kind and accommodating. As my husband felt seriously unwell and stayed upstairs, I was very grateful that there was a full bathroom on each floor.
Note that this home is well-located. There is a grocery store 5 minutes away, multiple towns 15-20 minutes away with very good restaurants, and a hospital with an emergency department 20 minutes away.
My husband and I hope to have a do-over Maine vacation, and we look forward to booking this suite next time!
