Not what I anticipated...
Very nice staff but a bit disappointing that the place looks nothing like the pictures showing on the site. Sure the house is there but the rooms are placed in what can only be described as something that looks like 1970`s school buildings in Russia. Surroundings were nice and the staff super friendly...

A Countryside Inn with Charm
This hotel is far from any major city and the reviews in Swedish were damning so we were pleasantly surprised at the friendliness of the staff and other guests at Akerby Herrgard. We had a beautiful view and enjoyed the short walk to the nearby lake. Nora is a quaint little town nearby with a couple of good restaurants. Breakfast is nothing special but overall the hotel was a great value with loads of charm and character.

Sköna sängar men dålig frukost.
Frukosten var en total besvikelse. Halvtorrt bröd eller vitt rostbröd. Gurka och tomat (eller ändarna av tomat, vi kom ca 20min efter frukosten öppnat) som grönsaker. Inget varmt, inte ens ägg. Sängarna var mycket sköna och vi sov gott.

Enkelt, rent och mysigt
Vi trivdes väldigt bra i den mysiga lägenheten. Vi bodde i den gamla flygeln i en ren och enkel lägenhet som påminde mig om mitt barndomshem. På gräsmattan utanför betade ett rådjur. Synd att det regnade så vi inte kunda sitta ute under den stora linden. Det såg mysigt ut.
