"Nice and comfy room. Beautiful garden with many beautiful birds and other wildlife. Close to the beach. Plus is for the distance to Galle Road (which is very noisy). The dinner was good, but far from great. The curry’s are way to salty. Same as for the breakfast (don’t try the chocolate pancakes). Beautiful place and very friendly staff. - Big minus for the hotels own landfill that you see if you take a walk outside the fences. They should really clean that up. Not ok! "

"I left my heart in Talalla Retreat. Incredible staff who were so welcoming and hard working, the Retreat itself is stunning. I had an upstairs bedroom so was able to fully enjoy the surroundings. The food was incredible. I felt super safe. I didn’t want to leave. A must visit - and please do as the Sri Lankan people need visitors right now. "

"Good parts. Location for beach, size of axcomodation, privacy, quite modern. Bad parts.. paid for breakfast NO BREAKFAST!!! NO WIFI AT ALL!!! NO HOT WATER AT ALL!! Then there was other things that it said the accomodation had but wasnt there...ie desk, slippers, bottled water. Worst of all the accomodation is next door to a temple that has chanting through a loud speaker starting at 05.30am and lasts about 45 minutes. This is repeated at 6pm....very loud."

"I had a first floor room which is semi open and well equiped with mosquito nets, fan etc. to keep bugs away in this open setup. Enjoyed being so close to nature, waking up to birdsongs. The ground floor rooms are closed if you dont like thr thought of an open room. Accomodation is on the beach and stretches approx 1.2km and I enjoyed sunrise (over sea) and sunset walks. Swimming pool is great for laps. The spa treatments and therapists were devine, reformer pilates are offered at extra cost with studio half glassed with lovely view of beach and gardens. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Loved my stay, would highly recommend if wanting a place to relax and recharge, with friendly & helpful staff:)"
