"very nice cabin. rented motor boat that broke down in middle of lake, owner offered no help in getting us back to shore. overall everything turned out ok but it could have been a very bad experience. had to row over a mile to get to broken down motor boat, then we had to fix it ourselves "

"Spotless cabin , clean with every amenity across from a beautiful lake that we canoed and fished .Host was very pleasant and we cannot fault our stay .Visit to a deserted
beach
at the end of the highway watching the tide was glorious. Maybe a little out the way for those wanting to be near brighter lights of Homer etc ."

Evenson Heritage Lodge

"This spot is awesome and the host was great! It's not far from town, but hid away in the woods between two lakes. The host has provided tons of activities and amenities on the property. We caught nice rainbow trout in Bishop Lake, loved watching the eagles, loons, and swans, and saw moose just down the road. Our kids loved it as much as we did. The house was comfy for our family of five but could easily handle a large group. We look forward to staying here again."

Family vacation destination! Lake activities and game house!

10.0 out of 10, Exceptional, (30)
"We had a great time at Hannele’s place. It’s well stocked, comfortable, and the area and lake is super peaceful. The kids enjoyed the game shed, playing in the yard, swimming and paddling from the dock. The area is great for access to fishing. We heard loons every day and saw a moose. Awesome experience!"

Getaway Home next to beautiful Capt. Cook Park recreation area!

10.0 out of 10, Exceptional, (6)
"The cabin sat tranquilly remote on the property with only views of the Alaskan nature. Walking paths were mowed to allow for safe exploring. The lake on the property made for a beautiful backdrop for sunrise pictures. The cabin itself has a well-outfitted kitchen which was helpful since we like to cook our meals in rather than eating out. The queen beds in the loft were very comfortable and we slept well every night. Our hosts respected our privacy and were very responsive to any of our...

Unique Schoolie on a float plane lake in North Kenai.

10.0 out of 10, Exceptional, (5)
"We were so pleased with our accommodations! The owners gave clear directions to the property and the bus was warm and toasty when we arrived. The bus is stocked with every convenience that you may need, firewood, cookware, tableware, grilling tools, seasonings, lighters and matches, towels, spare blankets, etcetera. However you are a 15 minute drive away from your choice of supermarkets if you do forget or need anything. It was a chilly Alaskan autumn during our stay but the bus is equipped with...
