The room was very clean. The towels & linens smelled fresh which is a rare thing in hotels &, the pillows were great which is also a rare thing. The price was very good. Overall our stay was good. The only down side was the bed. We had a king room, and the bed was just very uncomfortable. My rating would have been excellent if the bed was just a bit more comfortable. It was hard and the inner springs could be felt in places. Otherwise it was a nice place to stay for the price.

Country Stay
We stayed in a deluxe cabin. It was very private with its own parking. Came with a small kitchen space. Stove was a little dirty, but not horrible. Overall enjoyed this better than a motel or hotel.

This is such an underrated location. The room was clean, my bed was soft & it was perfect for my service dog. Ample land for her to roam & she loved it. I will definitely be staying here again!

My trip with son and grandbabies
the owner was very friendly. the cabins were very clean and quite. the cabin by the pool my son stayed in it was very spacious and clean. Only thing that could be done would be bar b que under covers. It rained whole trip and need pits in dry areas.

If you are looking for a quiet out of the way place with a clean room, comfortable bed, and a great pool then this is your place. If you are expecting a 5 star all inclusive motel then keep going. Staff was great, limited food options on a Sunday night in Newton, TX but got a Subway sandwich and made the most of it. Would stay here again for sure, loved the rustic charm and quiteness.

Great place to stay for the weekend, quite, relaxed with extremely courteous, helpful, and friendly staff. The beds and bedding were new and very comfortable, and the breakfast on Sat morning was also very good, do not remember the name of the dish but was excellent.

I have stayed here numerous time over the past years while passing through for work. I have no complaints it is nice and Quiet place and convenient place!

Nice owner and nice clean place. Mix of an 8 room motel and campgrounds. Parking right in front of your unit but not great for boats. Maybe there is somewhere else on site to park a boat but it will not really work at the little hotel. Clean inside and out. Slept great. Very quiet. Pretty far away from most things.

What a find!!
This is an outstanding jewel. The manager and the gentlman doing maintenance are so sweet!! Its clean, quiet, feels very safe, just a great place to enjoy quiet time. I will be back.

Liked that it has a pool and things to do for kids. Like the chairs and tables by door to my room. My only complaint its the service and wifi, i have service at school across from motel but as soon as im in room, no service and wifi wad to far away from room. When im standing by front door, or outside wifi worked.
