About this property
Converted Stone And Timber Barn In Rural Setting On Edge Of Dartmoor
2 The Linney offers luxury accommodation to small families and couples. The barn was originally built in 1850 and is part of a rural farm comprising farmhouse and converted outbuildings, and constructed in Devon Stone and Timber. There is a large garden with terrace and verandah for dining al fresco and enjoyment of the surroundings. The garden offers many trees, views of the surrounding countryside and an area of lawn where families can play ball games. The cottage lies directly on the historic Templar way, running from Haytor down past the river Teign, to the estuary, 2 miles from the popular market town of Newton Abbot. The cottage is located on the edge of Dartmoor with its spectacular scenery, and also within a short drive of the wonderful beaches of Torbay and the "English Riviera". There is a huge number of visitor attractions in the area for families of all ages. So however long you stay you will never run out of things to do. Stover Country Park and Nature Reserve and delightful walks along the river Teign are only a few minutes walk away. All modern appliances and kitchen equipment is provided including Smart TV in Bedroom and Lounge providing freeview and streaming services. Also a blu-ray player and selection of DVDs, and unlimited free wifi. Please note that in the summer season (July and August) we only accept Saturday to Saturday bookings.
