"Our trip was in the dead of winter. The house was clean, welcoming, and the decor was relaxing. The hosts provided great extras for children of all ages. I have 6 children from 2 to 19. There were amenities for everyone. My middles loved playing ping pong in the garage. The older kids loved being in the hot tub and making snow angels in the snow, and my littlest loved the books and toys provided. My husband enjoyed making a fire with the logs and fire starters provided by the hosts. The kitchen was fully stocked with cooking utensils and little extras like tin foil and plastic bags, so that I could cook and clean up a meal. We could all cozy up for a movie and play games in the l living room as there was enough furniture to sit comfortably. The hosts were available via text or phone when we needed anything, and the list of things to do as we left was short and simple. The hosts seemed extremely hospitable and thoughtful."

"The DiSalvo Lakehouse is more than a beautifully appointed house… it’s a “HOME”. It has every amenity you could ever wish for ( spectacular water view, well stocked kitchen - both inside and out), lovely fireplace / family room , coffee bar, wine refrigerator- etc) . More importantly, the love and care put into this space in order to make all feel welcome was evident the moment we arrived. We have been renting houses in this area for our family fallgathering for 30 years. This house checked every box- and then some. Fabulous "

"The home was clean. It was in a nice quiet neighborhood. Definitely gives you the Northwoods feel."

"The property appeared clean until my wife turned down the bed. What appeared to be droppings were all over the sheets. We called the rental agency immediately. They then contacted a local maintenance guy that was supposed to have done something. This person texted me a while later, apologized and said they would bring mousetraps out in the morning. My wife and I slept on the couch.Upon closer inspection the droppings appeared to be some kind of seed. Regardless, the bedding was clearly not changed from the previous guest,there was no effort to clean the mess, no laundry on site, no spare sheets and no effort to resolve the complaint. I had put off writing a review in hopes that someone would contact me with an offer of a discounted rate or at least an apology. Sadly that didnt happen."
