Just what we needed. At first we thought the music would be very loud for a Saturday night but slept through it all. Beds were very comfortable and staff was polite and helpful
Did the job nicely. Affordable, comfortable and convenient. Shared bathroom but it was clean (and huge), and everything worked.

Staff were lovely and extremely professional.
Food was quite ok except the scotch fillet was a bit grisly and chewy, but extremely tasty. The veggies could have been cooked more consistently- carrots were warm but really under cooked.
Our room was small; bed comfy but pushed over near wall. Good quality linen and two pillow each! Walls need a good clean. Throw pillow on bed needed a clean cover. Some teabags would have been nice in the room with the coffee and sugar.
Bathrooms were magnificent except one did not have any soap dispensers working. However the bathrooms were huge, clean and even had twin showers for couples. A bathmat would be an excellent addition.
Music plays well into the night on weekends, however staff did warn us on booking in. The live music was terrific; the DJ music that starts later in the night, was extremely loud.
I'd take earplugs for a better nights’s sleep next time. Price was fairly reasonable for the location.

If you don’t mind share bathroom, good, clean place, for stop over.
Do not stay here. There was no one to check us in and I was unable to contact anyone. I lost my money - no refund - and I had to find another accommodation.

Disliked: Cleanliness
Stayed over 2 nights, the toilet seemed not cleaned, the refrigerator also was not cleaned from the first point.
I have stayed on the weekday so I didn’t find any problems with the sound.
Clean, basic pub style accommodations. Get room with balcony if possible. Shared bathroom isn't ideal but its a good place for a quick overnight stay. Pub area downstairs have good food options available

Close to the centre of Newcastle, noisy but it is a pub on a Saturday night
Staying here was a lot better than we expected. We stayed in a double bed room which was modern, clean and had a full length mirror & tv plus was big enough for us to store our bags and still have enough space to move around. The bathrooms were also more modern and cleaner than we expected. It does get noisy at night because it’s a pub but we did sleep straight through the noise and it wasn’t an issue for us.
Stayed on a Tuesday night for work in Newcastle the next day and had a very quiet and restful sleep, but the place certainly looks like it has the capacity of being a bit noisy on a Friday or Saturday.. Room comfortable and you can tell there is a young mind in the background making decisions because of the modern "wood" clock/radio and the USB power points. I'd go back.
Staying on a Saturday night with two children is not recommended as the music downstairs does not stop until 2 am and you have your children up until then as they cannot sleep
When booking you should be made aware that the ‘pub noise ‘ can be significant and affect your quiet space in the room
