The property was conveniently located. The access was easy. The bathrooms were the best. Very spacious. Easy check in/check out.
The staff were very helpful.
The parking is only off the street.
Loved the setting.
Thank you.
I was surprised to find this was a room above a pub, this was not clear on hotels.com. The building was old and run down and the sub-par renovations to the bathrooms had already faded, paint chipped, missing tiles and overall uncleanliness in the communal bathroom and kitchen.
The bedroom was large and roomy, sheets smelt fresh and clean. Did the job for one night stay, but we did avoid showering due to the conditions.
Staff were lovely and accommodating and the food at the pub was amazing. Which definitely made the experience so much better.
Not bad if you want to save money, but be weary that the walls are quite thin, and whilst i was there, other people staying had been yelling in the hallway in the middle of the night (presumably because its also a pub)
But overall you get what you pay for
The hotel is conveniently located.
The meals are very good although expensive.
The staff are pleasant and courteous.
Showers and toilet are run down and in need of attention.
Reported issues were not acted upon.
Kitchen was dirty and unkempt.
Security was poor with rear door propped open into alley allowing unauthorized entry to accommodation.
Very hot room with no aircon, no light bulb for side table light. Staff gave me the wrong password for WiFi so I couldn’t use it. Bathroom was a disgusting paint peeling and filthy!
Couldn’t stay the night as it was way too noisy, shared bathrooms weren’t very clean. There was a room down the hall having an argument and as a young woman on her own, I didn’t feel safe to stay as the lock on the door wasn’t very sufficient. Wasn’t asked why I was unhappy to stay and wasn’t offered a refund.
Terrible experience.
No air con! No air con! The room is hot as.. air con is part of assumed amenities and it is shocking that they dont provide that. Surrounding is awful with 24*7 car wash next to it. Room is too hot
I know it’s just cheap pub style accommodation, but out of the hundreds of pub hotels I’ve stayed in, this is definitely in my bottom 10 or so.
I just needed a place to sleep and shower as I was working away. Neither were possible here.
I booked two nights. The first night I didn’t get a single wink of sleep due to other guest partying until about 4am. There are massive gaps under doors etc., so you can hear every bit of conversation at the best of times. Once people are singing at the top of their lungs over a Bluetooth speaker, arguing, yelling and dropping things, there’s very little chance of a decent nights sleep. While this is obviously somewhat out of the hotels control, there’s also no one on site, nor anyone to contact if there is an issue, leaving you to try to resolve any issues yourself.
When it comes to showering, there are two big showers and a bath/shower in the mens. The bath/shower had a mysterious goo in it, which I was quite happy to let remain a mystery. One of the showers is missing a tap handle, leaving just one shower to be shared amongst all guests. The water is hot at least. Unfortunately, I had to go to another hotel up the road and slip the guy working $10 so I could go upstairs and use their shower, as the only functional/clean shower was occupied for about 40 minutes and I needed to get to my job.
The staff that I met were honestly lovely. Very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the place is completely unattended for about 12 hours a day.
