"Staff, service and food were excellent. Exactly when you'd come to expect from a Holiday Inn. Sadly however the room looked tired and in need of some much needed TLC with a distinct lack of beside plugs and although the room was at far end of the building and away from general foot traffic it was right above the air handling units and plant so was noisey at night. The pool and locker rooms werent much better. The locker room was dirty (however, it was late in the day) and there was a nasty smell and the pool generally needed a refresh. All in all.though if you just need a base for a few days close to the motorway and Meadowhall with good food then this is worth a look. "

"Good value for money, hotel a bit dated but clean. Very quiet and comfortable room. On arrival reception door was locked and signed to enter through bar area but not clearly signed so had to ask man behind bar where to go. Once at reception was waiting 5 minutes for staff to arrive and another man was waiting already so don’t know how long he had been waiting. This was the only fault but didn’t give good first impression!"

"Clean and tidy. Night time staff not so sure of what they needed to do. For example, I paid for parking but they didn’t give us a ticket to display in the car which could have resulted in a fine for us. It was only after we asked that a ticket was produced. "

"The room was fine, but had a strange smell. The air conditioner was too hot, and didnt seem to cool the room down. The fridge didnt work in the room. Staff at the front desk seemed distracted, telling me that maintenance had been, but I ended up fixing it myself in the end. Note: if the is light on in the fridge doesn't mean the fridge is on. No room service "

"Really bad. Don’t stay here. The receptionist is really weird and made me uncomfortable by forcing to carry my suitcase. Guests want to privately enter their rooms, not have a stranger get close to them. I don’t want anyone to touch my suitcase especially because of COVID "

"The hotel had no hot water, and deliberately didn't disclose this at check-in. When we spoke with reception in the morning, they told us they knew about the issue the night before and just hadn't told us. We asked for confirmation in writing and were told that the receptionist couldn't do this because it was the end of his shift. When challenged on this, he then changed to "the manager won't be here until 9". Later in the evening, the same employee refused to provide anything in writing and assured that we'd get a refund when they were contacted by Hotels.com. They're now refusing any efforts by Hotels.com to contact them. In addition to all of this, the room smelled like cigarette smoke, had no overhead light in the main area of the room, and was old, dated and in poor shape. The beds were very uncomfortable. Definitely would not recommend. Worst hotel I have ever stayed in for both quality and service."

Tried calling multiple times and was hung up on each time. VRBO also tried to contact them regarding our booking and could not reach them. VRBO then refunded our booking for us. "
