This is a rare find in the center of Manhatten. The place is dated and basic, but is very close to subway and you can walk to Central Park and Times Square. The host is great, check-in instructions are clear. I woud not recommend this as a sub for hotel, but at the right price it is a very valuable option if you just need a place to crash for a night

The property was great but the shower did not heat up! We had to boil water but other than that it was great!

Your description of this “chic”. Obviously no one of your organization has ever been there. Here’s a list of problems: no hot water , bed had collapsed on one side and had braced from underneath , kitchen consists of a microwave and a hot plate , the 2 closets had no room and were filled with rags and an upside down table, no place to hang anythingIn the bathroom, outside door downstairs was often stuck open, the air conditioner filter was black with dirt and extremely noisy, there was no direction for trash. Never again !
