Excellent communication with the management company made the stay very easy. We had 9 ladies come to town to celebrate a 60th birthday. The house was perfect for this since it has great spaces to gather, many comfortable bedrooms for privacy and a convenient, safe location. It is a unique floor plan since the three distinct 2nd level sleeping areas are not connected, but have their own staircases making it a good choice for multiple couples, multigenerational families or large group of friends.
Very nice stay with spacious rooms, many accommodations, and gorgeous architecture. Quick and easy reservations with great communications. However, it is located near a burger shop with a rather junky truck parked in front. We do feel that takes away from the beauty of the property and elevated experience if you are hosting a nice stay for guest.
The Duke of Magazine Street was lovely, quiet, well appointed. Super luxurious furnishing and the beds were so comfortable. It was hard to leave as it was so peaceful! Definitely would stay here again.
We had an amazing time at the place! The home was clean, spacious, and perfectly located. The host was super responsive, and the thoughtful touches made our stay extra special. Highly recommend for a fun and relaxing trip!
The location was great. Reasonable walking distance to restaurants, bars, trolley stop and hop-on-hop-off bus stop. Beautiful rental with lots of room. All bedrooms on 2nd floor which could be a problem if mobility issues for elderly. Definitely would rent again. Short Uner ride to all areas.
My 8 friends and I had an incredible time at the house. The owner was very prompt and flexible with our varying arrival times. Plus the location was phenomenal. Would definitely stay here again 10/10!
We had a fabulous time in Nola. The house was awesome. The location was great. The house manager was easy to communicate with and very helpful. We really enjoyed it and recommended the Magazine house.
A group of 12 friends from all over met for a 4 day visit to NOLA. The house was even more beautiful than the pictures!! We loved our stay, Zach and Courtney were great from the time we booked until we checked out! I will definitely stay here again! Thank you so much for making our stay a memorable one!
We had a wonderful stay at this property for our Thanksgiving holiday. We used the kitchen a lot, and with all the Thanksgiving cooking we were doing, it was very nice to have the extra kitchen in the back building. The kids loved the heated pool. We also used the gas grill one evening. We loved the setup of the house for our extended family, and there was plenty of kid friendly stuff, such as pack n plays, high chairs, and games. We would definitely stay here again.
We LOVED our stay at the Duke of Magazine. The home is even more gorgeous in person. It's spacious, charming and home-y. The location is lively and felt safe given the surroundings - there's a cafe and a cute restaurant next door. Each bathroom had nice shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The beds were soooo comfortable and we had no issues with the heater or appliances. The host was extremely responsive and kind. HIGHLY recommend this rental!
My 10 friends and I stayed here for my bachelor party and could not have chosen a better VRBO!The location is great, walking to the french quarter is easy and about 30 minutes away, in the other direction you can walk down magazine street and explore the garden district. The house was clean, large, and accomadating for our large group. The house was beautiful with many common areas for everyone to hang out in.Our communication with zach was smooth and comfortable. Overall i could not have been happier with our stay, thanks again Zach and Kurt for helping me make my party such a fun time!
The property is fantastic and we loved every minute we were there. There were 11 of us and there was always plenty of room. Each room was so beautifully done with great attention to detail. The kitchen was well stocked and we always were able to find what we needed. Our family needed this time together and I am so thankful for being able to spend it together here. I would definitely go back!!!
This home is beautifully renovated with ample space every where you go. The furniture was comfortable and stylish. The beds were very comfortable. Every thing you need to make a meal or relax by the pool. The location can’t be beat. Just a 25 minute walk or 9 minute drive to the French Quarter and about the same to the heart of the Garden District. Our group of 8 had plenty of room to come together and have privacy. Many great bars and restaurants in the couple blocks surrounding the house. Highly recommended
The Duke of Magazine is a fabulous home. There is plenty of space and the spacing of the bedroom locations is perfect for family and friends. I took my family and friends to the Super Bowl. I was worried about staying under the same roof with friends, but the Duke was perfect. Each group had a private area as well as large common gathering areas. The Duke is perfect for families and friends. The location was perfect. Located in a nice quiet area, yet close to all the major attractions. The property was beautiful, clean and well maintained. The host was attentive to any needs and communication was superb. If you are going to New Orleans, this is a fabulous place to stay.
Gathering together from SF, NYC, Atlanta and Pittsburgh, eight adults and 2 small children were readily accommodated at The Duke. Each family had privacy and the common spaces afforded talking/game spaces separated from TV viewing. The location is ideal with restaurants, coffee shops and shopping nearby.
With a well appointed kitchen, Christmas dinner was prepared and served graciously. We appreciated the architectural beauty of the house with the tall ceilings, repurposed vanities and pleasing interior design.
Working with the property manager on check in was such an easy process. They reached out multiple times before our trip to ensure we had all the necessary information. We had a few questions during our stay, and the property manager responded in a short amount of time. Super accommodating and helpful. The house is gorgeous, always a gamble of what you get versus the photos. Our entire party kept complimenting the house throughout the stay. The location was also great. Able to walk to breakfast spots on magazine. Short walk from the cable car on st Charles. Also, short Ubers to downtown/ French quarter. Would love to stay here again!
This house was a great place for our family of 8 adults and 6 children to stay while attending my nephew's wedding in the garden district. We were welcomed with treats on the counter and a bottle of champagne that we all toasted to our arrival and start of a great vacation. The house was gorgeous and relatives who came to see it were in awe . It was exceptionally clean and had modern type furnishings and decor. The cable car was only a couple blocks away, easy to walk to. There was a Walmart about a mile away for us to pickup some groceries. There is street parking. Management kept in contact with me prior to the visit and while we were there. I'd definitely stay here again with a large group when visiting New Orleans! Thank you for providing a place where we created some wonderful memories!!
We LOVED our stay at this property. The photos do not do this house justice. It’s spacious, beautifully decorated and just fabulous! Our group fit comfortably and had a great time at the house. Even with some minor inconveniences with the pool and a missing curtain in the main bedroom, we wouldn’t change a thing because of the responsiveness of our property manager. We always felt well taken care of and had zero complaints. The house has everything you need and more!
I will add that based on some of the previous reviews I was apprehensive of the location. However, we always felt safe and the house was comfortably located from just about everywhere we went. The nearby restaurants and cafes were perfect for our big group. I think anyone who stays here would feel the same.
I can’t wait for our next trip. I just need an excuse to stay again at this house.
We stayed at the Duke of Magazine for the week between Christmas and New Years. We had nine people, four over 60 parents and five 20-something “kids”. It is a lovely property with three distinct areas. The front of the house has the kitchen, living and dining rooms with 3 bedrooms and 2 bags upstairs, The middle section, reached directly through the front section, has a den with a 85” (I think) TV and two more bedrooms and one bath upstairs. The third section which is reached by going through the pool/patio area has another kitchen den area with a bedroom and bath upstairs. Each area had a separate thermostat which we used for heating and cooling since the outside temperatures varied. The kitchens were well equipped. A microwave, toaster and storage space were located in a pantry across the hall from the kitchen. The host/property manager was very responsive when we had questions about the pool heater. Our children used the pool almost every evening. Our host also inquired about our safety after the New Year’s Eve tragedy on Bourbon Street. We didn’t need a rental car. There were several restaurants nearby and the WW 2 Museum was about a 9 minute walk away. The French quarter was 35 minutes away by foot. We were able to walk almost everywhere and Ubers were plentiful when we didn’t. Overall, we highly recommend this property
The Duke of magazine was a beautiful home with lots of space for my whole family. The hosts was very responsive and the neighborhood was vibrant and lots of food options very close by. Would recommend highly!
Kurt and Zach from Summitt were beyond helpful, we absolutely loved our stay here and it made our weekend! Fabulous location, gorgeous bedrooms, the works!
