Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
Quite. The roomlacked some of the basics: no phone, towels, not that I needed it, lacked toiletries. I didn't like the room location. The staff was polite. Very small waste can, only one, for the entire room. NEVER AGAIN AND I WILL RECOMMEND TO OTHERS NOT TO RENT THIS LOCATION. MOREOVER, THERE WAS NO BREAKFAST OR COFFEE, NOT EVN ONE IN THE ROOM.
Our room it self was clean. One of the towels had a stain on it. Bathroom toilet didnt have a lid. Guy at thw front was no and it was easy to check in. Only issue wes how people left the gate for waking out open. Which made us wonder…
For a one night stay we cant complain too much.
Most people don't come to NoLa to stay in their room... what we needed was an affordable place to put our luggage, shower and sleep. To that end, we got what we paid for. The rates were affordable, the staff was nice, there was free gated parking, the room was spacious, and the hotel was right off the freeway so it was easy to get to all the stuff we wanted to see.
With all that said, please find a different afforable place when in NoLa and skip this place. We rolled up our first night during a rain storm and I immediately called it "the Scooby Doo Hotel". The property looks like it's slated for demolition. The stucco is cracking and the stairs aren't completely structurally sound. There seemed to be a fair amount of people using the property as regular housing (no personal issue with that) but that came with couples fighting or kids crying or other loud neighbors. The room was dirty, paint marks on the floor (Mardi Gras makeup/decoration from previous guests, I'd guess), cigarette burns on the comforter, stains on the shower curtain, and GROSS towels. Skip this property.
Everything was bad at this location I even got bite by a bug not sure what kind of bug it was but it’s bad and we never had room service for fresh tiles and was no one was never at the front desk the doors was always locked so we had to wait until 12am to get fresh tiles, it was over terrible services… The only good thing was a guy name Jeremy he was sweet but outside of that it was bad and I’ll never come back here at all
The hotel is nothing like what is shown in the pictures. From the time you walk in, you can tell that this is not a place you will feel comfortable staying at. I was given my room, I went to the room to check it out.....the room was not clean and there were roaches in the restroom area. I went back to the front office and reported I was not staying in that room. Was given a room on the second floor. Walked in, hit the light switch, and the lights never came on. Had to use light from my phone to find the lamp. That didn't come on until the nightstand was moved a lil then the light came on. Went looked around the bed. What do ai see on the floor, dead cockroach. Go to check the restroom. The shower clearly had not been cleaned for a few days with what seemed to be rust or dirt in the middle of the tub and mold in the ceiling. I left the room, went back to the office, and told them I need a refund because I was not staying there. The office person proceeds to tell me that my refund will come in 7 to 10 business days from Expedia. I said fine but give me my refund receipt. I will not ever book a room here again.
The room was definitely neglected and had to have some one come to give fresh sheets the next day from arrival. Had to sleep with my clothes on at the edge the first night. Other then that we wasn’t really in the room. Only to wash and rest and be back outside celebrating Mardi Gras
