North of the noise and saturated color of the Quarter is a New Orleans neighborhood that’s perfected the art of living. “Welcome to Mid-City,” read the signs on the neutral ground. And that’s truth in advertising. It’s the kind of place where your auto mechanic invites you to a crawfish boil and a total stranger may buy you a drink at an Irish pub or a cannoli at an Italian bakery. Take the red streetcar line up Canal to the Cemeteries (Mid-City’s dead neighbors are as interesting as the live ones) or bike the new 2.6-mile-long Lafitte Greenway that stretches from Basin Street to Carrollton Avenue and, conveniently, past a po’ boy shop or two – or 17 – with a sno-ball shop and a micro-brewery thrown in for good measure. Buttermilk biscuits. Live music. A bowl of Vietnamese pho. Who wouldn’t want to visit? Eat. Drink. Get up here. If you have any questions about the neighborhood, please send us a message!
You will have full access to: • Entire upper-level 2BR unit • Living room + full kitchen • 1 bathroom + laundry room • Private balcony • Fast Wi-Fi + Smart TV
★ Quiet, comfy, and had everything we needed, amazing value!
Please note: unit is above a tiny laundromat (no walk-ins), so light daytime vibration/noise may be felt between 9 AM–5 PM.
Fall is when New Orleans is at its most livable - the heavy summer heat gives way to golden afternoons and the kind of unhurried street energy that makes every walk feel like discovery. Tucked in the heart of Mid-City, this upper-level Creole-inspired unit places you right inside that rhythm: the Canal Streetcar steps from the door, the French Quarter a short ride away, and a home worth returning to at the end of each day.
The space Warm light moves through the rooms throughout the day, drawing out the unit’s Creole architectural character and giving each space a genuine sense of place. The living room centers on a 50-inch HDTV with Netflix and Roku - a natural place to wind down after a long day on foot or a late evening out in the city. A dedicated workspace with a private door keeps focused work separate from the rest of the home. The entire layout runs single-level, with no stairs throughout.
Sleeping arrangements Two bedrooms offer a calm retreat from whatever the city threw at you. Room-darkening shades handle the light whenever you need them, and bed linens, hangers, and a safe are all provided. Closet storage keeps things organized whether you’re in for a weekend or an extended stay.
Kitchen & dining The chef’s kitchen is genuinely outfitted for cooking: a GE gas stove, GE single oven, Maytag refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, drip coffee maker, and toaster are all in place, alongside cooking basics, dishes and silverware, and a baking sheet. Coffee is provided, so mornings start without a trip out the door. Whether you’re cooking a proper dinner in or grabbing a quick breakfast before heading out, everything you need is here.
Bathroom The bathroom is stocked with a bathtub, hair dryer, and hot water, plus Ecorite shampoo, conditioner, and body soap. Shower gel, cleaning products, towels, and toilet paper are also provided.
Private balcony Step out onto the private balcony and let the neighborhood settle in around you. In October’s mild New Orleans weather, it’s a natural spot for morning coffee or a quiet drink as the evening cools - outdoor furniture is set up for exactly that.
Extras & family amenities An in-unit washer and dryer handle laundry without a trip out. Central air conditioning, central heating, and ceiling fans keep the home comfortable across every season. An iron and safe are also on hand, and cleaning is available during your stay. Families with young children can request a pack ‘n play (sheets provided) or a folding or convertible high chair - babysitter recommendations are available on request too. The property is pet-friendly, so there’s no need to leave anyone behind.
Location Step out through your own private entrance and onto a street where the Canal Streetcar stops just a few paces away - a direct line to the French Quarter, the CBD, and much of the city. The Lafitte Greenway sits nearby for morning runs or easy evening strolls, and local cafés, po’boys, music venues, and Mardi Gras parade routes are all well within reach. Free street parking is available for guests arriving by car. Exterior security cameras are present on the property to confirm occupancy stays within the legal 4-guest limit.
Please note: No parties, no unregistered guests, and no smoking. Any attempt to host a party of any kind will result in immediate termination of the stay with no refund.

Great little upper level unit with comfy beds. Easy to navigate car to the Quarter. Never struggled to find parking. Kitchen is a little sparse, but why cook when you have so many delicious restaurants to choose from?
The unit was clean and beds were very comfortable. The kitchen needs to be stocked better. I think there was 10 total eating utensils. Also the toilet seat was broken. The laundry on the main floor shakes the unit when the spin cycle is running. Also, the laundry below felt like it drained the hot water so ran out of hot water frequently.
From arrival to departure our stay was an excellent experience. This Mid-City home was the perfect location to enjoy everything from the French Quarter, Garden District, etc, plus the local Mid-City restaurants and Trader Joe's. It was well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Not to mention the wonderful host who was a great communicator and attentive! Highly recommend!
