Lush Mid-City Oasis by City Park

Enjoy your own peaceful Mid City oasis a half mile's walk from City Park and a half mile walk in the other direction to the streetcar, which will take you to the French Quarter in 20 minutes. You'll enjoy lush outdoor dining and living space, a full kitchen, a comfy antique bed, a clawfoot soaking tub, a combo desk/vanity, and an in-unit washer/dryer - all accessed via your own private entrance.

When you step outside you're an easy walk to Cafe Navarre, PJ's Coffee, the Bulldog pub, Susan Spicer's excellent Rosedale Cafe and Cafe DuMonde or Morning Call for Beignets. If you are someone who will walk a mile -we are also walkable (or a 3 minute drive) to the Louisiana Children's Museum, the New Orleans Museum of Art, the Swan Boats in City Park, and the most fantastical Sculpture Garden you can imagine, also in City Park.

As far as the space, this is a private apartment in a house built in 2007, but which incorporates lots of old, salvaged architectural elements. We have 1 queen size bed in the apartment and it is a space for 2 people really but there is space to put an air mattress in to accommodate 1 extra adult or 2 extra children for a small additional fee.
