Charming Historic Home Near French Quarter - Cozy & Convenient!

THIS HOME IS TRULY COMFORTABLE, SUPER CLEAN and AMAZING! We have been accommodating guest for over 15 years and specialize in DELIVERING a comfortable experience for all of our Guest! Just read our reviews!

The Main home features 3 bedrooms and can sleep 6, each bedroom has custom bathrooms with stand-up showers and beautiful granite counter tops. The home has a large open floor plan including large dining room/ living room and large laundry room. The custom kitchen Features everything you need to fix a meal for your friends and family.

This home also Features a detached apartment that sleeps 2 with a queen bedroom/living room private full kitchen, bathroom and laundry room. Please note The apartment is raised and has a full set of stairs. Not recommended for people having trouble with stairs.

We are nestled only 4 miles from the French Quarter. It is only a 10-15 minute cab, Uber or Lyft ride away. We are on a corner lot, right across the street from the best Poboy diner in town- Arabi Food Store. They have great breakfast and lunch specials.
Old Historic Arabi Neighborhood is Safe & convenient.

We provide - Standard Coffee Pot/one cup, coffee filters, Paper towels, Trash Bags, Toilet Paper, hand soaps, Detergents, Iron and ironing Board, and blow dryers.

About our area:
The area known as Old Arabi is made up of two historic districts: The Old Arabi Historic District, 150 acres bordering Jackson Barracks and the Mississippi River including parts of Mehle, Angela, and Esteban Streets, and the Friscoville Street Historic District, 160 acres from the 100-900 blocks of Friscoville. Old Arabi was named one of America's Prettiest Painted places in a 2012 nationwide search conducted by the Paint Quality Institute of America for the stunning use of color on the area's elaborate historical homes and buildings. It's close proximity to the French Quarter and no shortage of things to do right around our home, this is the perfect location to soak up everything Nola has to offer.

Getting Around our area:
New Orleans is a small city, which makes getting around a breeze in an Uber or Lyft. The French Quarter is an 15 minute drive away, which will never run you more than $15-20 depending on events and holiday seasons, which is even more affordable when you split it with your group!

New Orleans Experience

We have been wanting to experience New Orleans and it's history as well as do all of the "touristy" things. This house was the perfect location for all of the day trips we took as well as just relaxing. Accommodations were perfect for 4 couples and 4 separate sleeping areas 5 bathrooms was a plus 😉 Neighborhood was perfect with a place to get breakfast and lunch right across the street and Wal Mart a short drive away to get all of the essentials we needed for our week long stay. We would definitely stay here again!

Gorgeous home. So spacious. Walking distance to 24hr donuts. Also to grocery store. About a 9min uber to French Quarter. Neighborhood is nice for walking. There’s a breakfast place across the street. Unusual hours. But the food is delicious.

Family Vacation

My Family stayed at this Beautiful home in August 2022 for 5 days. The home was very beautiful. It was clean and spacious. Our adult children stayed in the main house and my husband and I stayed in the cozy apartment in the rear of the house. It was very nice. Just enough room for us. We would definitely come back and rent this beautiful home! The cost was extremely reasonable and we loved the restaurant next door! Amazing food and very nice people.

House is perfect and in a perfect neighborhood. We LOVED it!!

My only problem was the master bedroom and the bedroom directly across from the master the tv remotes would not work. We had to download the Roku remote to utilize both tvs.

Very nice place to stay

Very cozy home. Plenty of space to sit and enjoy family. Washer and dryer in both the main home and in-law suite. Very easy to catch transportation to main attractions. Communication with owner was great. We had a question about the tv in the in-law suite. She promptly contacted me and found out that WiFi does not reach to the in-law suite. Not a big deal. I just used my phone to watch shows. The home had everything needed for stay. We didn’t have to run to the store and pick up anything. The store across the street had great food but was not open on the weekends. They did have vending machines for soda with was perfect when we wanted something bubbly. The neighborhood was quiet and we sat on porch every night.

Awesome Experience!

My 6 friends and I met in college in the 60's and have traveled together for over 50 years. Consequently, we have stayed in many vrbos and we all agreed that this was once of the best. The house was roomy, welcoming and completely as advertised, less than an easy 5 miles to Bourbon St. Great beds, fully equipped kitchen, and a nice outside patio.And Jami was awesome to work with. But what made the house completely unique was the neighborhood. The Arabi Food Store is directly across the street and serves great food. We enjoyed their Po Boys, Pork Chops, Smoked Chicken and Catfish. Then we met Tommy, one of the neighbors , and he joined us to share his history and the history of the neighborhood. The next day, his wife Annette, surprised us with a King Cake and stayed to play cards with us. The entire trip was wonderful and I give Jami and the house my highest recommendation.

Lovely Open Space

This is a nice older home. When we first arrived there was a musty type odor. We purchased air fresheners and let fresh air in and it was no longer a problem. The home is very nice for a large family and accommodates groups very well. We were in town for a graduation and this home allowed us all to stay together. Since there was so much going on in the city, the traffic was hectic. It took longer than 20 minutes to get to tourist areas. However, the neighborhood was nice and close to a Walmart. The street traffic is quite noisy in the morning because there is a popular little neighborhood restaurant next to the home and it is extremely poplar. This is definitely a nice home to stay in just need to be aware of the location and the amount of noise.

My family's stay here was fantastic! I give this home away from home a five star

Myself and 8 other family members and friends traveled from Peoria, Il and Dallas, Tx for a 4day/3night weekend to celebrate my daughter's 21st BDay. She and 4 friends occupied the very spacious master BR while my sister and I shared another beautiful room and my 2 adult daughters shared another. We all were very comfortable and felt right at home. Having bathrooms per each BR was an extra plus. Everything was fresh and clean, enough linens for everyone and a fully equipped kitchen. Again making us feel at home. Neighborhood quiet and clean. We were able to reach any destination within or around the city within 15-20 min. I advise anyone renting this property to take advantage of the restaurant/storeacross the street that's owned/operated by the property owner. The food is great! We got sandwiches on arrival Friday and took some back home on Monday Met the owner and was able to tell her how much we were enjoying the house and our visit to New Orleans. Last but not least, I left clothing in the closet(indication I didn't want to leave) and they were boxed and promptly returned to me. I would call that going above and beyond great hospitality. Can't wait to return with my husband and other couples hopefully during Jazz Festival.

Relaxing Stay

The accommodations were perfect for my trip to New Orleans. It was in close proximity to the destinations that I wanted to go to. It eas also spacious enough for my mother who was using a walker to get around. I also enjoyed being able to sit out on the front porch to enjoy the wearher.

Vacation to Nola

The house was unbelievably one of the best places we've stayed. Large bedrooms with personal bathrooms in each room. A MUST when travel with couples. The location was perfect with a quant little restaurant with remarkable prices and food right across the street and walking distance to bars and restaurants, dollar store and loquat store. All the locals we met were so friendly and hospitality was very rewarding. I would absolutely recommend this charming and welcoming site for a stay to enjoy the beautiful New Orleans trip for family or friends getting together.

Family wedding in NOLA

This property was awesome: charming and spacious throughout. Everything we needed was right there. Having 4 1/2 bathrooms was a bonus, especially when getting ready for wedding events. We had never stayed in Arabi before and enjoyed it, especially on our walks. A quiet retreat from the hubbub of the French Quarter, etc…(French Quarter Fest was going on). Residential with lots of pretty houses, and the Mississippi is a few blocks away. The Arabi Market and Cafe was delightful for breakfast, but closed on weekends. Highly Recommend this property!!!

Great weekend getaway home!

The rental was very spacious and clean. It was a great home for a group of 8 adults - each bedroom has its own private bathroom and the common area has plenty of space for everyone. And the Arabi food store across the street is amazing!
