"Nice big room, comfortable, clean, soon to begin renovations. The ride from EWR is longer than some airport hotels. But it's safe, clean, next to a grocery store. The HVAC in the room was a little noisy. We had to be at the airport early, 5am. The shuttle starts at six, but they will arrange a ride with "Lyft" for you. Overall, pleased with the stay. "

"We have stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Newark Airport Elizabeth by IHG numerous times. Check-in during this visit was very easy, and the staff member was pleasant and professional, as always. While we were able to book the room at a good price, there were a few concerns this time. In Room 409, there were noticeable mold spots around the top of the tub, and the bathroom door did not close properly unless pulled very hard. Unfortunately, these issues made the stay less comfortable and leave us unsure if we would choose to stay here again. On a positive note, the bed was very comfortable, and the air conditioning/heating worked well. Breakfast was okay—the powdered eggs were not great, but the sausage, fruit, bread, and yogurt were good. Checkout was quick and easy; we simply dropped our room keys in the red basket. Overall, this stay was a mix of positives and concerns, with cleanliness being the main issue that impacted our experience. "

"The room was clean, bathroom was clean, room was quiet in evening, no issue sleeping. The staff was courteous. We had no issue checking in and checking out. The amenities were great with the restaurant and lounge. We would definitely stay again at this hotel."
